You're making fun of women with camel toes (which I've never had, btw) but you walked with soda cans on your feet to look like a robot? :killingme :killingme :killingme

My brother bought a 59 Plymouth Fury. Push buttons and wings on the back.

I remember the push button Plymouths early late 50s early 60s. sit there in neutral put your foot on the gas pedal and pop it into drive burn rubber around the corner.

And you could be moving forward, slowly, and push the reverse button without coming to a complete stop. If you weren't used to it you'd get a jolt.

Speedy, just for clarification we're talking about buttons for forward/reverse instead of the shift arms we're currently used to and not the button you used to have to push to start the motor after the key was turned on. Seems I also remember a switch on the floor you pressed to git er started, much like the old dimmer switch.

Oops. :blushing: I thought you meant a button to start.

Candie's flats and high heels. Nothing was cooler in the late 70's early 80's. How could I have forgotten those blisters? :banghead:

..Tall Timbers Tavern...

I used to run with a band in the late 60s that played at a place in Tall Timbers, all I remember was it had a huge dance and there were a ton of sailors there every time they played. Always seemed like hours to get there from PG County. Last time they played there, the sailors started yelling for Motown music and the band didn't play much in the way of soul/motown. Ended up with the lead singer saying into the mic "Bite my crank, maties" and that was it for their Tall Timbers jobs... :lmao:

Can't forget the Mia clogs. It was the ONLY thing I wanted for Christmas in 1980. I looked like Bambi on clunky stilts walking around in them.

I forgot about those...we wore them with our designer jeans that were to long. Remember how the jeans were so blue that they would turn your legs and socks blue.
