Is anyone else here interested in Remote Controlled Stuff?? I Want to build a few things and just don't know where to start. My First project is going to be a modified remote control tank. I intend to put a wireless camera on it and then build a remote Robot Arm mounted on top. I am having a hard time finding a big enough tank. I know last year Walmart had a Giant Tank for about $150, I can't find one like that anymore. Does anyone know where I might be able to find one of these? I have found a few online but I would rather find one at a store so I could check it out first.

Exactly, Only Beer Fetcher. Can you imagine having a remote controlled Biatch, Drive it to the fridge, open it, grab whatever you want only by watching the screen on the controller?

No, I'm not even that lazy. :duh:

Now, a remote control air craft with semi-automatic 22 LR's mounted on each wing to terrorize the neighborhood cats, HELL YEA!! :yay:

I found a few tanks that shoot BB's That was going to be incorporated into my design. It's not that I'm Lazy just inventive...

Yes I am interested in R/C stuff, and I happen to have a large Abrams model that is already radio controlled. PM me for details.

Did you buy it local or off the net? I have found so many types. I am debating between 2. There is the 1/16th scale for $99 then there is the 1/24th that actually shoots BB's for $190 for the 3 speed then others around $80 - $90 that seem to be two speed. Choices Choices. I want the 1/16 but that one doesn't shoot.

Tried that, guy said they didn't have anything. I think they were too crowded and he didn't want to look anything up. However I did find the 6 channel controller and servo there I will need to make the arm.

Only kidding, that's what I work on. I built a remote control truck several years ago. Look at a kit with substantial frame, then build from therre. You can buy a body and adapt it to fit.

Everytime I hear of remote control stuff, I think of a story about Otter and my son.

Otter thought it would be cool to resurrect his remote control airplane from his childhood and fly it with my son, who was probably 4 or so at the time. We went to Otter's parents place, got the plane from the attick and Otter and my son worked on it for a long time, getting it flightworthy. You could see the anticipation on my son's little face. What an exiting time. He and Otter were bonding so well, doing the father-son project. Finally, it was time to fly the plane. Started it up, went around about one circle and BAM...smashed into the basketball backbroad and burst into a bazillion pieces. They were devasted but I couldn't help but :killingme

Right, I figure the strogest base would be a tank, since I can't find any tank kits I think I'm just going to buy one thats about 2 feet long and add onto it.
