I was wondering if someone could give me some info on car removal. I have a small Protege that I would like to get rid of. I was told that there are some places that may even give you ca$h for the parts. Any ideas would be helpful! :howdy:

Most places that come and remove your old cars will give you a receipt for a certain value so you can claim it on your income tax. Can't remember who I gave my last old car to, but the yellow pages should help.

You can donate cars to places like Melwood. You get a tax write off for what they sell it for at auction. Center for Life Enrichment (I think) fixes them and gives them to low income families and that gets you a higher write off.

If it's a total junker, there's lots of people that will haul it away and give you $50.00-$150.00 for it and then sell it as scrap.

Champion Auto Parts on Flat Iron Rd, will pay you something like $25 to $30 per car, when they pick up the car. I think Hollywood Auto does the same thing.:howdy:

Park that old car in anyones front yard in St. Marys County. They are considered lawn ornaments there. If you include some cinder blocks, it will make the gift even better.

Thats right. If you do not find humor and truthfulness in my comment, you are not a SMIB. I lived in Chuck County for almost 30 years B4 heading down to King George where it is the same as it ever was.
