There are brand new ones in Leonardtown, as up go up the hill past Ryken. I have no idea what the price is or anything but they look very nice. I can't even remember the name. Next time I go by, I'll take a look. Not a place where you have a bunch of kids.

Hamptons.

Put you about as close to the "bad element" in Leonardtown as Abberly Crest would put you in Lexington Park (i.e. a 5 minute walk in both cases). That said, they are both fairly nice and not really likely to have issues. Even if you setup in the Apartments next to CVS on Great Mills you honestly aren't likely to have issues. We like to pretend we have bad neighborhoods, but in reality they are pretty tame.

If I may ...

:lol::lmao:

  1. More concerned with finding my tires on the vehicle in the morning
  2. not having stray bullets come through the wall - though there is sleeping in the bathtub
  3. If you knew me, and watched me walk through a crowd, ... :lmao: ... I have been told I scare them, the seas part. My child said walking behind me in the mall during Christmas shopping was always a treat.
Helps to have a thick neck and be ugly
Oh well that changes everything. Just don't move into a ghetto area. Of course the nicer, newer, areas will cost you a bit more. I hear those folks over in the 7th District are some very pleasant and easy to get along with people, and always watching each other's backs, keeping an eye on things. You should look over there, though, it might be a bit of a longer drive. But the trade off might well be worth it.:buddies:

Things can happen anywhere. I remember last year all the car break-ins in Wildwoode and the "nicer" communities. Not saying I'd want to live where there is known trouble. There's Section 8 townhouses around the corner from me. I've heard they have some problems over there once in awhile but it's never spilled over into where I am. It's very quiet.

So speaking of Wildewood, I saw on Facebook yesterday there was a shooting on Sugar Maple Court

Nineteen-year-old shot in the chest in California

Yea, I saw that too. My daughter lives a good neighborhood but there was a shooting last year. At least none of these are random shootings.
Shooting today at the Sheetz on Great Mills Rd. Two shot and flown out to PG and Shock Trauma.
That makes 3 in two days.
Want to lay odds that the two incidents are connected?

So much could be said here, but I'll bite my tongue. Hopefully they have good aim and there isn't any collateral damage.

Saw a post on Facebook today, the shooting wasn't at Sheetz, that's where one of those shot ended up.
Writing is as clear as mud. The story to day is they were shot at the car wash on Great Mills Rd.
The ambulance was on the way to Sheetz when they saw the other victim (?)
They were brought back to Millison Plaza where they were flown out.
I believe one is out of the hospital, the other may also have been discharged.

LOL - that was saved in my buffer from yesterday.

So, any thoughts on Settler's Landing?
Besides over priced. More interested in thought son the community, location, etc.

That ought to cost us tax payers a tidy little sum.
