We brought her home yesterday, and as of yet..no name. There is a high probability that she is Deaf. The Owner never mentioned a thing about that. So the likelihood of her going to a Shelter would have been BIG, because not many people want a deaf Dog. They are hard to trian. I will not give up on her. She has an appointment at the Vet Monday, so I'll keep everyone posted. FF, I will bring her to the Shop today, and hope you are there. You have a Blind Dog, and I have a Deaf one. Thanks to everyone, for the well wishes, and the NAMES! Too cute. I loved the name Stains, but if she is Deaf, her name will be Helen. (After Helen Keller) I do have a Cat named Chloe', you have a good memory FF.

Hi Roman. I am at Callaway today but will be at Solomons tomorrow. Maybe Joyce at Pets With Disabilities can give you some pointers if if turns out she is deaf. How is Meatball taking to her?

I'll see you Sunday then. I never thought about Joyce, thanks. Meatball, and the Pup wear each other out! They love playing, and get along well so far. I have my Granddog overnight tonight too, so that should be fun :EYEBROW:

sounds like your house is going to be run by the dogs lol. I am glad the new puppy is working out so far and her and meatball are getting along so well :).

The verdict is in, and my poor Pup is profoundly Deaf. I am not going to give up on her, and we are working day-by-day on Doggie Sign Language. Maybe if I didn't get her, and someone else did, she might have been in the Shelter, or worse yet...euthanized. She will be spayed November 14th. No bad genes being passed on from this end. FF, thank you for your help yesterday. I knew then, that she was deaf, but the Good Doc Q confirmed it today.

Don't worry, Roman, all of my cats and my children were deaf, as well as both of my husbands, and they've managed to get along quite nicely.

 Yep at my house the only sign language they needed was a middle finger as I left the room!
