Jam out with ur clam out
After I read Rt235' post, I was a little hurt, but they do have a point. However, I won't feel guilty about it because I've been helping Animals all my life. Animals ARE my life. This little girl was bought by another person, who loves her, but she doesn't have a lot of time to be with her. She had her for a month. My Daughter will be here Sunday to take pictures, and she can show me how to post them on here. I'll throw one in of Meatball too. Thanks for all the cute names, and Sicily & Noodle are definitely on the Books. Thanks everyone!

you are a good person.... dont let it get to you!...if you didnt take the dog... it may end up in a shelter... who knows

I have done both... purchased dogs and rescued as well. Just a few months ago I did spring one from the pound. But that wont stop me from purchasing my next WORKING dog.

Now dont get me wrong.. I have lucked out two times with rescuing... both have turned out to have the drive to do a job.

Darn it being a girl. A boy from Boston could be named Anthony to go with the meatballs:)

Yeah really...

Smaller dogs are very hard to find at the shelters. If I want a lab, GS, boxer mix, pit mix... there are many pickings but small dogs are few and far between at the shelters. I've been looking for about a year but recently decided that we don't or shouldn't get another dog at the moment. If one comes available that is smaller (under 25 lbs.), I will or may consider that.... but we have given up actively looking for one.

Roman - I wouldn't take offense - Rt 235 posts without knowing all the 411...

happy to be living
I have many animals that were adopted, or that I've rescued over the years. We had a Feral Cat Community living on our property when we bought it, and I had 30 of them Spayed & neutered out-of-pocket, and found homes for all but 3. I kept the three that nobody wanted. I have Chickens that I adopted, and recently a Rabbit that I wittnessed being thrown across the yard. I have two Parrots that I adopted, because they were no longer wanted, and a 17 year-old Cat that would have been put to sleep if nobody took it. I have done my part, and will continue to do so. If my Husband wants to get me a Custom Made Dog, I think I deserve it. I LOVE the Breed. As far as spaying is concerned, all my Dogs, and Cats are spayed & neutered, and this new one will be too.

Roman, do you still have the rescued peacocks, too? (remember I want some feathers LOL)

Congrats to your new family member. I know it doesn't fit with "Meatball" but, I've always liked the name "Chloe" and "Callie". Cant wait to see the pictures.:yahoo::buddies:

Definitely no need to justify getting this dog! Your husband did rescue her from her previous owner and paid an adoption fee, like he would have at a shelter or rescue

Can't wait to see pics. I googled reverse bt and they are cute!

We brought her home yesterday, and as of yet..no name. There is a high probability that she is Deaf. The Owner never mentioned a thing about that. So the likelihood of her going to a Shelter would have been BIG, because not many people want a deaf Dog. They are hard to trian. I will not give up on her. She has an appointment at the Vet Monday, so I'll keep everyone posted. FF, I will bring her to the Shop today, and hope you are there. You have a Blind Dog, and I have a Deaf one. Thanks to everyone, for the well wishes, and the NAMES! Too cute. I loved the name Stains, but if she is Deaf, her name will be Helen. (After Helen Keller) I do have a Cat named Chloe', you have a good memory FF.
