Yes you do, people are LYING about the reasons for coming .. they could apply for Alusyn inntheir HOME Country, not travel 3000s miles to do it at the border .. passing THROUGH several viable options per UN Refugee Regulations
You CAN apply for Refugee Status at a consulate or embassy.

🔥 Last week, the New York Times ran a syrupy puff piece about the poor downtrodden immigrants forced to go on vacation at Martha’s Vineyard. Basically the whole story revolves around the Times’ interview with this wholesome-looking illegal, Ardenis Nazareth:

I think it’s the face tattoo that really completes the look, don’t you?

Anyway, the Times glowingly reported Mr. Nazareth’s many complaints about his ill treatment at the rough hands of dictator-in-waiting Governor DeSantis, like his free private air transportation to the popular vacation destination. “I thought I was coming to Boston,” Nazareth complained. “I ended up on this little island.”

Martha’s Vineyard is probably even worse than Venezuela.

Anyway, unlike the Times’ professional reporters, editors, and fact checkers, some alert twitterers quickly discovered that Mr. Nazareth is a KNOWN DRUG DEALER from Venezuela:

Haha! The garbage New York Times ALSO flunked journalism 101. Sorry, narrative!

(Hat tip to Revolver.news, which reported the story.)

Wrong as usual.

Although a U.S. embassy or consulate cannot process applications for asylum or refugee status, they may be able to offer other forms of protection.

Mysterious recruiter for DeSantis' migrant planes to Martha's Vineyard identified

Who was behind the Venezuelans getting on those two planes? It was quickly disclosed that Governor DeSantis and the State of Florida paid for the flights. Governor Abbott said he had nothing to do with the whole thing. Someone had to find willing participants and coordinate the trip, right? It is being reported today that it is a woman named Perla. The reporting says Perla H. Huerta, a former combat medic and U.S. Army counterintelligence agent living in Tampa, is the person who “lured” the migrants to accept the flights to Martha’s Vineyard.

The New York Times reported late Sunday that a Venezuelan migrant who was working with Huerta to recruit migrants confirmed her identity, and a migrant in San Antonio whom Huerta had unsuccessfully sought to sign up identified a photo of her.
CNN reported that a friend of Huerta confirmed her identity in a photo provided by a migrant. Pictures have been circulating of the woman — until now known simply as “Perla” — after she allegedly recruited many of the 48 Venezuelan migrants outside a city-operated shelter in downtown San Antonio and moved them at a La Quinta Inn, before they were flown to the upscale Massachusetts island at the expense of Florida taxpayers.
The San Antonio Express-News, citing unnamed sources, reported Monday that the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, which includes San Antonio, considers Huerta, 43, a “person of interest” in its criminal investigation into the incident.
Sheriff’s office spokesman Johnny Garcia said in a statement Monday the office had not confirmed or identified any persons of interest in the ongoing investigation. Asked about Huerta, Garcia had told the Express-News, “We are not publicly identifying anybody.”
The Associated Press tried numerous phone numbers and emails for potential matches for Perla H. Huerta or possible relatives, and got no answer or the lines were disconnected.

Biden administration resumes after-dark migrant flights to airport outside NYC

The White House has quietly resumed its after-dark charter flights of underage migrants to a suburban airport north of New York City — after a Post expose led to their suspension last year.

The Post watched as a group of migrant teens got off an Avelo Airlines plane that arrived at the Westchester County Airport near White Plains at 9:25 p.m. Thursday. The group then boarded three waiting buses that drove off about 50 minutes later.

One bus traveled to the Walt Whitman Service Area in Cherry Hill, NJ, just across the Delaware River from Philadelphia. After the bus pulled up at around 12:45 a.m. Friday, several teens disembarked, retrieved their bags from the luggage compartment and left with adults who were waiting there to meet them.

The bus left the rest stop around 1:05 a.m. and continued south on the New Jersey Turnpike

Clearly sex trafficking.
