There was an accident with a school bus and a truck on 231 right next to the Ford dealership. Didn't look too bad.

Calvert. The road that goes from Rt.4 to Rt.5 over the Benedict Bridge into Charles.
Baynet says east and west bound lanes closed. Bucktown Road is right down from the old Toye's Inn bar, I believe.

I heard on 98.3 that a motorcycle was passing traffic in a no passing zone and ran head-on into a van coming the other way. Heard the bike rider didn't make it.

Maryland State Police in La Plata are investigating a crash that has left a young Calvert man dead.
Rescue crews responded to a serious motor vehicle crash along MD Route 231 in the area of Bucktown Road in Hughesville around 2:10 p.m. on Tuesday, May 4.
Investigation revealed a silver 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by David Michael Krankowski, 20 of St. Leonard, was traveling westbound Maryland Route 231. In a no passing zone, Krankowski was passing other vehicles traveling westbound Maryland Route 231.
A 2004 Ford Econoline Van driven by Dean Allen Justice, 52 of Huntingtown, was traveling eastbound Maryland Route 231. The driver of the Eclipse lost control subsequently colliding with the Ford van. Krankowski, the driver of the Eclipse was transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
