Thanks, and wow, really tossed the car pretty far, although a bus is no match for a car anyway, I have had some close calls myself with those commuters busses going well over the speed limit or weaving into other lanes.

The buses cannot go "well over the speed limit". They have speed governors. And buses cannot "weave", just too darn big. Many times they are changing lanes due to a car cutting them off (they cannot stop on a dime you know).

My prayers to the victims and families of those involved. This is a tragedy, but an avoidable one. I'll say it again -- people need to stop pulling into and across lanes of oncoming traffic, not only on 235 but everywhere. While everyone on the road needs to be aware of their surroundings, traffic entering a highway DOES NOT have the right-of-way and traffic going 55mph on a highway cannot stop on a dime for traffic that does not yield the right-of-way. I have had too many close calls with people who either don't bother to look and see what's coming before pulling out or that try and beat oncoming cars at an intersection when they can just wait a few seconds for traffic to clear before entering the highway safely. This concludes my PSA.

Well some have been speeding, whether you agree or not I have been tailgated, and semantics, merged into my lane while I was right next to it, clearly rushed or aggressive driving, no need to be a dick about it.

I dont know what happened and feel awful about the situation but I drive past that interection monday thru friday and people always pull out and cause drivers on 235 to slam on brakes or swerve over and cut off the car in the fast lane. I dont know if that happened in this situation but thats what it sounds like to me. Regardless if the bus was speeding or not speeding, it is the responsibility of the person merging into traffic to make sure it is safe to do so.
