There is an italian place over the bridge that my parents took me too last week and the pizza was really good... other than the fact that there was sooooooo much cheese on there it was actually so much it disgusted me. I had to take off 75% of the cheese just to be able to eat it.

If I wanted soggy overcheesed pizza, I would order papa johns. Maybe it was an off night. I didn't comment about the quality of the cheese btw, just the quantity. Too much. I peeled it off and left big lumps of it congealed on the plate.

You people are sick.

The pizza looks great but I just wasn't in the mood for pizza. Much of the menu just doesn't appeal to me. Regardless, I will be back for the Beer, wings, and will try a different dish :howdy:

Whenever I am in Annapolis I frequent Rams Head Tavern for their Beer Battered Fish Tacos (west coast style), Crab Mac & Cheese or the Ahi Tuna Dinner.
Gordon Biersch in Annapolis is another place I like for their beer and menu. I like their Meat loaf, Fire Roasted Chicken & Fettucine, and Pecan Crusted Chicken, and the Blackened Mahi Mahi.
Just some of the food that appeals to me. I also wish more local places had the option for a Turkey Burger.

Hi Michael and ohstate
I understand where you are both coming from and we apreciate your feed back.
I love Rams Head and Gordon Biersch, their beers and food. Rustico and Cafe Pizzaiolo are amaizing places for pizzas and beer.
We do have a long way to go to be like them, but we are working on it and we will get there very soon. We want to be as good or better than them. Down here is very difficult to atract the best help when our sales are just a fraction of theirs.

Yesterday we brewed our first belgium Golden Tripple, it will be ready in about 16 days.

All Ruddy!!!

Power with Control
Solomons, just north of the Rescue Squad, northbound side, it shares a parking lot with the new Hilton Garden Inn. Heres a link to Bing Maps of it.

Your web browser and the Maps site are incompatible

I'll say, I'm not impressed with Bing as a search engine, but its maps (satellite shots) are almost always more up to date, and allow closer zoom, than Google Maps.

I think its time to go back and try it again.. The food was great when i went but they only had two ruddy duck beers on tap and no stout..

If the noise inside bothers you, you can always sit outside at the patio tables, very nice. The place gets two thumbs up in my estimate, for both the beer and food!

Ate there tonight for the third time. Love the nachos and the pizza is good but it does have a lot of cheese on it. I tried the shrimp and grits tonight and I am not sure what to think of it. It was ok but I wouldnt get it again and I love grits. I like the place and I will keep going. The service tonight was the best yet.

Had the Jamacian Jerk Pizza, bit of a let down. I was expecting a little spice on it, but it was pretty bland. The noise level rivials a Redskins game though. Pretty loud, other than that the beer was good and the calamari and mussels were good too.

I am so very blessed
We just came from the Ruddy Duck. Good food, nice beer, and a great waitress = a very enjoyable evening.

We started out with the cheese ball thingies, and they were awesome. Bob ordered the Memphis ribs, I ordered the Braised Short Ribs with chimichurri sauce, abd Bubba had the kids' pepperoni pizza. Bob loved hte ribs, and Bubba gobbled the pizza. I really liked the short ribs, bu did not care for the chimichurri sauce. Having said that, the waitress and Carlos himself did a great job in trying to find an alternative sauce that I would like. The teriyaki sauce was a better choice for me than the accompanying chimichurri one. I really appreciated that they took the time to make sure that I left a happy customer.

We'll be going back for sure. :yay:

I went tonight also for the first time. Excellent beer and food! Loved the decor and didn't find it to be deafening with noise as some have mentioned, but it also wasn't anywhere near capacity!
Both of the restaurant owners - Carlos and Michael - were very nice and accommodating! It is refreshing to see a bar/restaurant option down here that isn't a national chain and has a lot of character, flair and good staff! They will do very well, especially when it gets colder and ppl start wandering away from the waterfront places.

Hi,
Unfortunately the baffles are not up yet... The company is saying another two weeks...

Just to let you know we now have our Belgium Triple on Tap, it's delicious!!! 7.9% alc. vol.

We are out of the Dubbel but we have brewed a new batch that should be ready in a couple of weeks.

We are also now fermenting our first Imperial Stout!!! It will be about 9% alc. but it will take a month or so to age it, plus we are also dry hoping it...

Monday we'll be starting our first Lager (Helles) and Tuesday a Martzen for October Fest and next our Barley wine that should be ready for when it gets colder.

I'll let you know when the baffles are up. But don't forget that we also have our private dinning room that it's a lot quieter...

See you soon!!!

Carlos
