"Maryland Politician Fights Muslim Group's Plans to Build Mosque on Farmland.

A local politician is seeking to stop a Muslim organization from building a mosque in a small Maryland town, sparking what could become a lengthy legal battle.

Chad Weddle, a lawyer and a town commissioner in Walkersville, Md., has proposed a zoning amendment that would prevent the construction of places of worship on land zoned for agriculture there. "Agriculture shouldn't have buildings on it," Weddle said.

The amendment, if passed, would prevent the Ahmadiyya Community USA from building a mosque and recreation center on 224 acres of farmland. Walkersville, 56 miles northwest of Washington, has 5,800 residents — 90 percent white and mostly dairy farmers.

Town officials and many members of the community are opposing the group's plans to build. Some residents are upset that if the mosque and center are built the organization plans to hold an annual convention that could draw thousands of Ahmadis."

well if it's zoned agriculture then they're right and it shouldn't have a place of worship (or any other non agriculture related building) on it.

I wonder if there is a precedent for any other kind of churchesque buildings on land zoned for agriculture in Walkersville. I know the area well, but I can't say I know their leniency (or lack there of) towards building restrictions.

Screw the unwanted interlopers, if these poor folks are forced to accept the burka brigade they need to start a campaign of harassment. I'm thinking herds of pigs here, mountains of manure, disabling construction equipment, pulling up survey stakes, nuisance counter lawsuits, and flat out making these folks not want to be anywhere near this neck of the woods.

"Recreation center" my butt, something like this pops up before you know it. This is not a group you want to roll out the welcome wagon for.

I like the way you think. Can you imagine living in a nice rural area all of your life and all of a sudden it becomes infested with Muslims. What a nightmare!

This is one of many "closed Muslim societies" that are springing up around the country. Yet, the Statue of Liberty still waves the lantern high in the air and welcomes all who wish to enter - even those who intend to destroy America from within.

Excerpt from the article:
Springtime in Islamberg: Radical Muslim paramilitary compound flourishes in upper New York state

"A sentry post has been established at the base of the hill.

The sentry, at the time of this visit, is an African American dressed in Islamic garb - - a skull cap, a prayer shawl, and a loose fitting shalwat kameez. He instructs us to turn around and leave. "Our community is not open to visitors," he says.

Behind the sentry and across a small stream stand dozens of inhabitants of the compound - - the men wearing skull caps and loose fitting tunics, the women in full burqa. They appear ready to deal with any unauthorized intruders.

The hillside is blighted by rusty trailers that appear to be without power or running water and a number of outhouses. The scent of raw sewage is in the air.

The place is even off limits to the local undertaker who says that he has delivered bodies to the complex but has never been granted entrance. "They come and take the bodies from my hearse. They won't allow me to get past the sentry post. They say that they want to prepare the bodies for burial. But I never get the bodies back. I don't know what's going on there but I don't think it's legal."

I did a search for news on "Islamberg" and it appears that The Canadian Free Press (CFP) (CFP, once named "Our Toronto") is the only news organization that is still covering this story which is dated Friday, May 11, 2007.

The following comments concerning the CFP were found at the Toronto Hemp Company's website which may or may not be considered credible. :>)

"In 1994, Our Toronto found itself in the middle of a controversy for publishing a parody song with what some deemed racist lyrics. One verse of the Our Toronto song read:

"Go to the school-yard, look around. Faces are yellow, black and brown. Knife in hand, drugs are grand, we're in the same boat now. Cannot write, so we fight, we're in the same boat now." Another verse said: "There's no denying the truth we know. All people, all colors, make the best rainbow. It'll take all our brains to put black in there, though. We're in the same boat now."

The Toronto Police Services subsequently removed the paper from its premises.

CFP Managing Editor Justin Boudreau posted a message to a Mensa Usenet group in 2002 explaining his belief that Adolf Hitler accomplished a lot considering his situation. [3]. The person who started the thread had asked for a list of people who had accomplished extraordinary things while having to overcome severe physical handicaps in childhood.

The newspaper has published discriminatory and racist comments on people who live in Turkey [4]. William John Hagan has written the following paragraph. "The admission of Turkey into the European Community will be the final blow to the Christian identity of Europe. Once the Turkish people are free to live in and work, legally, in the European nation of their choice, the problem will not be Paris burning but a deluge of Islamic immigrants into the Christian world which will be unstoppable. If one remembers with horror the acts of Black September, the Red Brigade, or the sectarian violence in Yugoslavia; then, just wait until every citizen of Turkey has a European Passport." [5]

Student interns
Canada Free Press makes use of free labour from high school student interns in co-op programs to learn journalism.[19] Most are from Toronto District School Board's Humberside Collegiate and East York Collegiate [20] though some are from the Toronto Catholic School Board's Bishop Romero School. [21]

One person who had been interviewed for a student article subsequently criticized the quality of the writing and the accuracy of the reporting."[22]

With everything that is happening in the world right now, it's not a time to be politically correct about Muslims. We need to keep them in check even though it may hurt their feelings. It shouldn't take another 9/11 to have everyone wake up to what these people are capable of. Not to mention that they dress funny and smell bad.

wow!

more random generalizations!

As long as it is politically correct to ignore the stated goals of fundamental Islamists, Muslims will grow ever closer to achieving their main intention to impose Islam and Shari'a Law upon all societies throughout the world. For Example:

Muslim cleric values life??? Reuters 4/18/2004

"It's inevitable. Because several (attacks) are being prepared by several groups," Sheikh Omar Bakri Muhammad told Lisbon's Publica magazine from London where he is based. He added: "We don't make a distinction between civilians and non-civilians, innocents and non-innocents. Only between Muslims and unbelievers! And the life of an unbeliever has no value. It has no sanctity!.
