Ryken vs. Chopticon

My little sister went to Ryken and is now in her 2nd year at towson state.

Name change in aisle 97...can we get a name change in aisle 97 please?
You are looking old there. Towson went from "State" to "University" in 1997. Same time that they dropped the classic Stephens Hall Clocktower logo in favor of the dumbarse black and yellow paint marks (that looks like it was designed by a 1 year old).

I haven't read the entire thread yet, so this may have already been stated..

IMHO, the correlation between Ryken kids going to college and public school kids going to college is more based on the fact that private school parents can actually afford to send their kids to school, not necessarily an educational issue with the public school.

I graduated from Chopticon and the University of Maryland.....I'm not soooo bad

My little sister went to Ryken and is now in her 2nd year at towson state. Your going to have some of the standard problems at all high schools thats a given. But what I think I liked the best was seeing the percentage of kids from Ryken graduating and going onto College.

I went to Ryken and didn't think there was anything too special about it... as in, there were pregnancies (not many, but there were 2-3), drugs, sex, etc. .. just like there is all of that at Chopticon. The only thing "better" about ryken is the smaller class sizes, but that really doesn't have anything to do with drugs and sluttiness like you're talking about.

Maybe the smaller class sizes where attributed to students cutting class or off giving birth???

My daughter is entering high school next year. I dont want to be a grandmother? or a drugy mother? This day and age scares me. She goes to Catholic middle school now and I feel like I am feeding her to the wolves if she goes to Chopticon. But I have also heard some poison on Ryken. Educate me please

well i graduated from Chopticon in 2005 and we had about 10 people in my graduating class that were either pregnant or had already had babies. now granted, yeah thats a lot of babies coming from teenagers, but i wouldn't change my highschool career for anything, i had quite a bit of friends that went to Ryken and they said that it was drug infested. and then once the got out into the real world it was a big wake up call. so whether you decide to send her to Chopticon to feed her to the wolves now or send her to ryken and feed her to the wolves when she gets out... either way its going to be a big change. my personal experience with Chopticon was great, most of the teachers were friendly the school was clean and it was and ultimately mixed group of kids. i would recomend chopticon.
