Sad tale, simple solution.....

How was the bridge ride?

The leader had never done the route and didn't know it very well. Took off with 11 bikes at 9. First piss break was when I lead a mutiny 2 hours later. Took this kid (30 ish ex mil) something like 20 minutes to figure out he'd lost his team and come back. Of course by then he and the other 2 bikes (youngins) had to go.

A really nice mountain climb and turns was lost due to the fact that most of us were clenching butt cheeks the whole time.

From there, it was nice except for a couple of gravel roads that miffed some high end bike owners. We saw 6 or 7 bridges, two major different designs. No helmets, low speed, scenic as all get out.

Not sure if you'll have access. No cost to sign up.

Lunch was really nice in the middle of nowhere. Name is on one of the pics. Nothing special, just good food, lots of it and fresh cut fries which always scores with me.

From there, me and the South Mountain He Man Woman Haters Club (and wives  ) took off for Mountain House by way of Cowans Gap ( MUST ride!!!) to chill for a bit, drink a few cocktails and flirt with the bartendresses. Then, we hit Mikes in Greencastle (put that on your list, everyone!) for some ice cream and then a killer twist ride home with a fab sunset and fantastic dark ride the last 20 miles. Just an awesome day. 240 miles. Left M' Town at 8. Home at 8.

Did another 120 today of ROCKING twists back way to Hedgesville and back to Tomahawk to watch some of the last MDRA races there this year. NEVER gets old.

Nice pix, looks like a good ride. When I get a better tourer than cruiser I can join up.

The Chrome and Crabs ride today was excellent, about 120 miles on the back roads of SoMD.

BTW, two Vstroms on the ride. One guy, as I was complimenting him on his dual sport and the rep of the bike said he is terrified to ride it on gravel. I was like

 ????
