Sorry. But I get testy when I see what appears to be someone impugning the motives of a friend who pulled probably 2 grand out of his own pocket to organize and host a benefit event.

Whatever disease the lady is fighting, it was not specifically mentioned so I assumed there was good reason for that. What we do know is that its an insidious long-term disease of some kind and that her parents have incurred a lot of medical debt over the 19 years their daughter has been fighting the disease..whatever it is. The benefit proceeds all went to her parents.

I thought I had a clue. They explained it before we started though. Too bad it was misrepresented by someone earlier.

I simply responded very directly and specifically to one very specific comment. I don't put that in the 'judgment' category. Just sayin..

I do admit I remain curious about the axact nature of her illness..but no where near curious enough to pry further.
