Well today will probably be meltdown #2....
Went to see Bill yesterday and he would not really even open his eyes unless you basically pinched him...He is being moved this week/end to U of MD Medical system inpatient brain injury rehab program they said 3 weeks is average then you know what you have and he is discharged either home or nursing facility at the family's cost..
Then hospice calls before I am out of bed (on a day I work at night) and wants to come wash mom she is still asleep..I stress..run out feed the horses get mom up..rush her feed her etc..then call and cancel I cant take this stress. I had not brushed my teeth or cleaned up my papers from my small dogs..
the one bedroom/bath is coming along great..but I look at the living room and moms room which has to be empty by Monday and I do not know where to start and break down and cry..
I sit now with my coffee/pills...watching mom eat and hope this day will get better for me...

Paso, not sure if it is an option you would want to pursue or not, but have you thought of getting a POD to store the stuff in until you can move it back into the house? A co-worker did that with a bunch of his stuff during a major renovation. Big

Why don't you put it in the horse trailer if it's only for a short time. If you have one with a dressing room they make for good storage. Got to go, I'm going for a ride on Bandit, my black and white Appy with a blanket and spots. He's a gentleman and I'll see how he gets along with other horses since this is the first time riding him with others, been just going out alone. Paso, Happy 4th of July, hope you get some Paso time today

Yeah, I'm sorry to hear yesterday was such a rough day for you. I hope today is better for you. Take it day by day - every day is a new day. Hang in there and try to get some rest when needed. You're such a great caregiver but you have to take care of yourself, too.
