I did catch atleast three pieces of ICE ejected from cars in front of me.

The first one hit the windshield so hard it will probally crack on the way home

I drove from Lusby to Lexington Park at 0530 and there was nothing wrong with the roads. So maybe the bus driver doesn't know how to drive in the weather. :howdy:

Same way in Waldorf. No stop lights were working from Mattawoman Beantown Road all the way to the Sheehy Ford light. There was a tree down on Rt. 5 South bound between Surratts Road and Ed's Plant World that was taking out the right lane. :howdy:

the roads arn't even bad in the hollywood area. The stupid bus driver probably didn't even try to drive slower do to the conditions. People around here just don't know how to drive in bad weather.

It probably wasn't the bus drivers fault,It was probably someone like you that was going to fast and ran them off the road. So if you don't know what you are talking about in the first place you shouldn't even make a comment like that. If your weren't on that road then you should keep your stupid thoughts to yourself. People do know how to drive around here it is a few people not from around here who think they can't drive on water that make it bad for the ones who are trying to be safe. have you even driven a bus. If you haven't then may you should try it. Then we can see how well you do. also some of the side roads around this county don't get a lot of attention

Doesn't seem like the school system can win- people complain when schools get closed for "no reason" and then complain when they are opened and an accident occurs. :jameo:

I disagree if a vehicle slides off the road it is due to the driver driving to fast for the conditions. How does a car run a huge buss off the road.

If the side roads don;t get enough attention you should slow down ven more on them.

Um, because maybe the bus driver doesn't want to hit the car that crosses into its lane?

Yea I 'm sure thats what you would say. It depends what happened. It is not always the bus drivers fault. I will say that most every bus driver in this county takes very good care of the children they carry as well as the the bus they drive. So I don't think they were driving to fast that is a bad road and it you were in a yellow sled how can it not slide driving fast or slow. If you were not there then you just need to keep your thought to your self.

I think the school board dosen't consider the conditions of the back roads/less traveled. All it takes is a small patch of black ice and you can have a bad accident.
I remember a few years ago they opened two hours late and then turned around and closed two hours early.
They have inclement weather days alloted for in the schdule. I say use them. STOP PUTTING YOUNG LIVES AT RISK!

:bonk: on the school board
