I think the school board dosen't consider the conditions of the back roads/less traveled. All it takes is a small patch of black ice and you can have a bad accident.
I remember a few years ago they opened two hours late and then turned around and closed two hours early.
They have inclement weather days alloted for in the schdule. I say use them. STOP PUTTING YOUNG LIVES AT RISK!

:bonk: on the school board

I just seen a dummy that ran off a perfectly dry road in the ranch club.

He claimed he was not even speeding:yeahright:
just lost traction on the sand that had moved to the shoulder

my tow strap was not in the truck so i said have a nice day and left.

If you were not there then you just need to keep your thought to your self.

that is the stupidest argument I have ever heard.

Since most of us have not been to Iraq should we all keep our opinions about what is going on over there to ourselves?

It sounds like you are trying to sweep this bus accident under the rug.

Nope just tired of hear stupid people like you saying no none in this county can drive. Oh but wait I forgot you are the smartest one of us all. Think again. You where the one that said it was the bus driver. The bus drivers do their job very well concidering some of the drivers around here with the smarts of a rock.

I've been run off the road twice in my neighborhood by bus drivers. They drive down the center of the road way too fast to stop if some kid was to run out in front of them. I'm not saying they are all bad drivers, but damm, what's the rush?

I never said nobody around here can drive. I just said there are a lot of people around here that can't drive in bad weather. The bus didn't just magically slide off the road. It was most likely driver error. I never said bus drivers don't do a good job. I simply stated that in this case it was probably the dumb drivers fault.

I used to live in Vermont and drove in bad weather a lot. As a whole people around here are not as cautious in bad weather as they are up north. Simply due to the fact that the weather around hear isn't that bad. In Vermont the buses would drive on snow with no problems. So I find it hard to believe when you say that it was not the drivers fault and called it a sled that would slide off the road no mattter what.

IL have to say there are some bus drivers that cant drive. My old bus driver in hish school use to run down browns rd doing about 50 the entire way, even in the rain. She never wrecked but what if she did.

As for drivers down here, pingrr is right. If its misting outside everyone goes 20mph under the speed limit, let alone the fact they cant stay in their own lane. IF bad weathers in the forecast there are some drivers that act like theres 3 feet of snow on the ground and nothing has happened.

Turns out the bus driver was trying to get the bus up an hill that had icy spots on it and slid off the side of the road. I happen to know that can happen at very slow speeds and usually does.
