There are his day to day performances which I don't follow the news close enough to comment on, but his worst moments were often not his fault, Trump changed course mid-stream leaving the communication team to wither in the wind. For example, when Trump said he fired Comey because of Russia after Spicer had said all week it was a move based off the AG recommendation and the press is digging into Spicer about why there was an about face, what he is supposed to say. That doesn't happen to Spicer everyday, but it has happened to him a handful of times. Trump is probably the hardest President to be a press secretary for simply because he changes courses a lot and because of his use of Twitter.
