Sears subcontracts the work, they may have been told by the subcontractor that the job was completed.

either way, sears should make sure that you are taken care of in a prompt manner.

Thanks for the support, and I understand the subcontractor part but IMO the bottom line is Sears took my money which means they may not be responsible, but must be held overall accountable. They put the repair service practice in place...:coffee:

Hey, just bought a sh!tload of appliances from Sears. May have to drop your name if and when the stuff needs a repair. God I hope not! :faint:

Gosh I wish we saw this before buying a riding mower. While it works we had a 0% for a year deal and when i got the first bill I figured we would wait for the stimulus check before making payments. Well the second bill came and we had late fees and interest charges. My husband called and just about died when the CS person said that happens a lot. Everything was fixed but he was ready to drive the mower into Sears stop in front of the register staple the receipt to the chair and walk out.

In all fairness, I have never had a problem with any of my Sears lawn power tools or any of my shop tools. Just repair service for my appliances because us people down here are not too important and there is only 1 Sears repair technician assigned to Southern MD and it's normaly only on Wednesdays!!!

If you do have any problems and get some sort of run around, I'll give you the name and telephone number of the Sears VP now in charge of appliances who contacted me directly on YouTube after Sears employees showed him my YouTube VID!!!

Oh the lawn mower worked. Sorry that was not clear. It was more of their we are going to screw you on the bill by 'forgetting' to add that you bought during a special and then hope you do not notice type thing.
