:lmao: I love little kids - I hate most adults, but kids are a blast.

Get this one, speaking of idiot adults in charge of OPC:

When my son was in Scouts, they had their summer camp and I volunteered to babysit in the Pixie cabin (the little brothers and sisters - 3 and 4 years old - of Scouts whose Moms/Dads were working with a troop). There were 4 of us in the Pixie cabin and we'd split up the group into manageable sizes for each of us.

Anyway, one of the other Moms and I took our groups off on a hike while the other two stayed at the cabin with their groups. We were gone for about an hour and, when we get back, we see these two tards sitting out front sunbathing. We're like, "Where are the kids?" And they nonchalantly reply, "Out back in the pool." :yikes:

UNUPERVISED!!!!! These two moronicas just dumped these 3 year olds in the pool, then ditched them to go catch some rays!!!

So the other Mom and I go running back there and a couple of the kids were crying but nobody's dead, thank God. But I just couldn't believe it. That's why I ALWAYS volunteered for field trips, etc - some of these parents are just pathetic and I'd never trust them for a minute supervising my kid. :burning:

This is why our schools are teaching kids how to wrap a banana in a condom. Because these parents don't care, and we don't want their kids reproducing.

but do they have to be flavored? :shocking:

 for vrai bein' a good mommy and chaperoning. I've made a decision that I will send the DQ on no more field trips unless I am along to chaperone.

you other mom's have been forewarned! :really:

We musta had more good parents when I went to school... I never had any problems, and the parents didn't either.

The only trip my mom every chaperoned was my 5th grade trip to the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry, because it had a 4 hour bus ride.

When I was a leader at Cub Scout Day Camp we were instructed NOT to put bug spray or suntan lotion on the kids for two reasons: Allergeric reactions and molestation charges.

What we did do was have both on hand and as a parent dropped their child off I would hand them both and ask them to apply it to their child right there.

I always purchased long lasting, waterproof, sweatproof lotions and would give the kid the bug spray can to reapply.

BUT, if the is the case the flyer should have said so. While being sunburned is not pleasant it can lead to things like skin cancer further down the line.

Yeah, but mine was back in the early 90's before kids were allergic to everything under the sun and parents were lawsuit happy. :jet: Since these kids were so young, we had to potty some of them on a regular basis - can you imagine some parent these days dumping their kid off with strangers who were going to actually take them to the potty and help them get their britches down and fix them back up? :ohwell:

nowadays you can't apply sunscreen without parents permission or God forbid touching much less a paddling

As I grew up, when someone acted up in school they were jerked out of their seat and paddled in front of the class to add to the embarrasment. After seeing that a couple times you kind of just behaved and learned. What a crazy concept, eh?
