Septic Tank Inspection

Septic tanks need to be pumped "regularly" to keep them functioning as designed. When you get yours pumped, a good technician will be able to tell from the amount of solids/sediment (and hopefully your record of the last pump out) how many years you should go between pump outs.

One of the biggest parts can be finding and digging out the cap. If you can diy that part, that can save some dollars right there.

Oh, it's been a couple decades, at least.

Cap was located, removed. Contents inspected. Yesterday. Cap replaced and re-covered with dug up yard. Yesterday. NOW, we wait.

If it's not used heavily, that could be okay.

As long as the solids settle out and don't get into the drain field, you should be okay. Good luck
It was used somewhat heavily since it was last emptied.....in early 1980-something. I know that septic tanks need to be pumped out more often than that, but I'm not in charge.
