Based on the large collection of previous incredibly stupid utterances the idiot has made ......I don't think she does know better.
Or she is relying too heavily on an historically inept staff.

I was commenting on the COUNTLESS numbers of times I have heard African Americans who, while discussing race, will automatically declare "400 years of racism" or some such similar phrasing, when what they are referring to is the arrival on our shores of the first colonists, which - not accurately, I might say - coincides with the beginning of slavery. I think if you're the sort of person who habitually refers to the New World as 400 years old, you might mix it in with the Constitution even while fully aware of the date it was made law.
Historically, the first African slaves (there already were Native American slaves) arrived in the New World - in the Caribbean. They'd be there another hundred years before the English established permanent settlements elsewhere.
In her defense -
She is correct in describing this part of the world - what comprises the United States - as being 400 years old, whether it is Jamestown or Plymouth.
The Constitution didn't come about until 170 some years later, but persons who argue issues of race often refer to this nation forming when the colonists arrive.
It may have been a slip of the tongue. She's annoying, but I am sure she knows better.
What a stunning misreading of the situation.
If we are here to survive, to see to it that our genes, on an individual basis, are the ones that win, that go on, you look at congress and you look at the real super humans. They are the ones protected. Not you and me. They are the ones insulated and supported. Not you and me. Those people are the winners. The survivors. The strongest, the winners of survival of the fittest. The top of the gene pool. Literally.
Genius? Maybe not. Talent? Not much. Ability? Not so you'd notice.
Persistence? In spades.
this woman is amazing.
I don't even know what any of this means.
You actually think these people are stupid? You think, one on one, Sheila Lee would not be a force for you to reckon with? That Reid is some sort of functional idiot being lead around on a leash by some secret masters? These people are strong. And they are single minded of purpose. And they are survivors.

I’ve said this a lot on here… You don’t get elected as often as someone like Lee by being stupid.
Graduated from Yale. Law Degree from University of Virginia - one of the best law schools in the world. Probably NOT stupid, but probably highly likely to speak before thinking.
And ferociously partisan, which in my opinion, ALWAYS leads to saying stupid things.
Great point. I have often pondered the question; How is it possible Pelosi, the most stupid person in the world, is in such a position? She is not stupid, she just sounds supid because she is single minded and driven. If Obaba gave her a Democrat branded turd burger she would eat it on national TV and smile. Everyone watching would think; What a dumb ass, she is eating poop on a seasame seed bun.
I’ve said this a lot on here… You don’t get elected as often as someone like Lee by being stupid. However, not knowing how old our constitution is… well, I might not use the word stupid. Perhaps she is playing to the uninformed masses. I think being that they have convinced this country that massive government and deficit/debt spending is the solution to all of our problems; well, they must be pretty smart to convince folks of this. But, they say some really stupid things. They do some really stupid things. They promote insanity – doing the same thing over and over expect different results. I’ve said it over and over that they have figured that people, in general, think in very simplistic, single-sound-bite ways. They know the general public’s language and have perfected it; unlike the GOP. Is there intelligence in this? Certainly. Do I consider them to be at the top of the gene pool? Not really.

Seems like Malcolm X did get something right.

Not only has family breakdown coincided with increased government spending, but the money has not done much to reduce the rate of poverty. From 1965 until now, the government has spent $15-20 trillion to fight poverty. In 1949, the poverty rate stood at 34 percent. By 1965, it was cut in half, to 17 percent -- all before the so-called War on Poverty. But after the war began in 1965, poverty began to flat line. It appears that the generous welfare system allowed women to, in essence, marry the government -- and it allowed men to abandon their financial and moral responsibility, while surrendering the dignity that comes from being a good provider. Psychologists call dependency "learned helplessness."
Pieces of paper doesn't make one smart/intelligent, there are multiple examples of people having multiple degrees but have the common sense of a house plant, the current resident of the White House is one of them.Graduated from Yale. Is there ANYONE in the GOP even capable, let alone willing to, of making this argument any more?
