What was he in jail for?

I assume he was a felon?

Mentally unstable?

You mean he used illegal guns? No way!!

Good thing MD's gun laws are keeping them out of the hands of the people that aren't suppose to have them :sarcasm:

More proof of gun control not working!

there is no reason to believe this guy obtained his guns illegally
and it is stupid for a pro-gun person to point to a MURDER BY GUN and say it proves the point that there should be less gun laws
thats how you guys got the name gun nuts applied to all of us gun owners

If he was a felon they were illegal and why is it that someone that is a proponent of the 2A and believes people should be able to protect themselves with guns a gun nut again?

I am betting she was wishing she had a gun seconds before she was murdered.

So I guess you are a fan of all of MD's gun laws then.

was he a felon or are you making that part up so that this isn't about a legal gun?

was he a felon when he obtained the gun?

you are a gun nut because you think that a gun related murder proves the point that there should be less gun laws.

our current laws did not prohibit this woman, or the owners of the house to have a gun for protection, unless they were in the same category you are trying to put the assailent in for the convienence of your argument

There is NO Neighborhood Watch that could have saved this woman.

Read how my post went.

There are question marks behind all of those sentences.

I am not saying I know for a fact in this case, but regardless MD makes it hard for people in situations like this to obtain gun permits. Would it of made a difference here, I don't know yet, but it might of.

Unfortunately, when someone snaps, they snap. There is not a court ordered restraining order or neighborhood watch that is going to help. This is why so many women (and men too) do not seek restraining orders in domestic violence situations - that piece of paper is a false sense of security and most in that situation KNOW it. But they are grasping for whatever protection they can get. Grant it, there are cases where it does deter the offender from any further abuse and contact, but in so many cases like this, it just happens - that person snaps and and no one could have stopped it. The only thing that would have protected this woman was an armed officer on her doorstep last night.

there is NO MD requirement to have a permit for a gun in your house unless it is one of the few "regulated" arms, you know, like a legal fully automatic weapon.

and question marks aside, your point was obvious, delusional, but obvious.

How many people really go to the neighborhood watch meetings?

back in the late 90's we use to fill the meeting room... now it's down to a dozen or so....

You know... CRE has authorized Block Parties and so far there are only 2 planned... there could be more.... interested? contact me at directortice@yahoo.com

Cowpoke Circle off Rattlesnake...

Rawhide....
