Jaw-Dropper: Four Times as Many Local Secret Service Agents Sent to Jill Biden on Same Day Trump Was Shot

By Randy DeSoto, The Western Journal Jul. 24, 2024 7:15 am217 Comments

GOP Rep. William Timmons of South Carolina pressed Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle on Monday on reports that the Pittsburgh Secret Service field office sent four times the number of additional agents to cover a first lady Jill Biden event than to former President Donald Trump’s July 13 rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he was shot.

Cheatle neither confirmed nor denied that was the case.

Biden was speaking at an event at Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh for approximately 300 people close to the same time Trump was speaking at his rally attended by several thousand, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune.

Timmons started out his questioning of Cheatle asking if she agreed with the statement that Secret Service resources allocated to a particular events should correspond to the risk profile of it.

The director agreed.

“And when two events occur at the same time and the same geographic vicinity that the risk profile of each event should be taken into account, and whichever event is greater risk should receive greater resources?” the congressman continued.

“That is correct,” Cheatle replied.

The lawmaker than contrasted Trump’s outdoor rally, when he has been under specific threats from Iran, to Biden’s indoor event.

Representative Eli Crane Notes a Report that Assassin Thomas Crook’s House was Scrubbed Prior to Investigation

July 23, 2024 | Sundance | 294 Comments
At today’s House Homeland Security Committee hearing, Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ) questioned the Commissioner of the Pennsylvania State Police, Christopher Paris, about a video he took of the Butler Township location of the assassination attempt against former President Trump.

Toward the end of his questioning, Representative Crane says he has received information that Thomas Crook’s house was scrubbed, cleaned and even silverware removed, prior to the investigative units arriving. Seems odd. WATCH:

Congress Must Appoint An Independent Investigator For The Assassination Attempt

By Ron Wright

Currently, Congress seems content to allow the FBI to investigate what happened in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13. This is the wrong approach. Because the government has an incentive to hide its own failures, when it comes to the attempt to assassinate Trump, especially given the U.S. Secret Service’s known failures, the must be an independent investigation.

During my career, I worked several times with the United States Secret Service (“USSS”) on protective details when presidents and candidates came to our city. I believe the attempt to assassinate former President Trump was a horrific, epic failure, to say the least, with preplanning, communication failures, resource skimping, and more (See Sen. Hawley’s onsite report and letter to DHS). The assassin flew a surveillance drone over the site!

I assume the USSS is lining up scapegoats. (Cheatle’s resignation counts as the first sacrificial lamb.) The agencies involved will gloss over or ignore the root causes and the domestic and foreign operators, including the Biden administration and others, that may be involved in what happened in Butler.

🔥 Not only that, but former Director Cheatle performed badly compared to state police officials, who testified yesterday. The Wall Street Journal ran its story headlined, “Police Commander Provides More Details on Trump Rally Shooting.

23dc-secretservice-top-kbvl-superJumbo.jpg.webp

The Pennsylvania police officials provided much more detail than did former Director Cheatle. Colonel Christopher Paris of the Pennsylvania State Police told Congress that not only wasn’t the shooter’s roof covered, but he admitted that the tallest structure near the rally was the water tower — and that the Secret Service did not protect the tower, either:

image 4.png

To its credit, the Times reported —pay attention— that the Secret Service delegated coverage of the shooter’s roof to Butler police. The Secret Service approved Butler’s security plan, which specifically disclosed its officers would be in the building and would not be on the roof:

image 5.png

Therefore, members of Biden’s Administration knew ahead of time that the shooter’s roof would be unguarded. That fact is remarkably similar to the fact that enigmatic shooter Thomas Crooks also, apparently, knew the roof would be unguarded since he hauled along a heavy, unwieldy ladder with which to climb onto that very same roof. Ladders, after all, aren’t the sort of gear you haul around in your pants pocket ‘just in case.’

In another plot twist, Colonel Paris testified that investigators found eight shell casings around Mr. Crooks’s body on the warehouse’s roof. It was unclear from the article how Col. Paris found that out, whether he’d heard it somewhere, just assumed it, or was only guessing. The Times mentioned the fact in passing without further detail or even saying which ‘investigators’ found the casings.

WOW! Wray Says There Were At Least Two Instances Where FBI Officials Expressed Disappointment That Trump Survived Assassination Attempt (VIDEO)

Christopher Wray absurdly claimed it appears Crooks acted alone.

So we’re expected to believe Crooks did the following all by himself without an insider’s help:

  • Flew a drone over the Pennsylvania fairgrounds and got aerial footage of the rally layout on the day of the event – including 2 hours before Trump took the stage.
  • Got a range finder through security.
  • Evaded law enforcement officers from several different state, local and federal agencies.
  • Somehow ‘climbed’ up on a roof with his rifle 450 away from Trump, bear crawled to the perfect vantage point as bystanders alerted police and was still able to take 8 shots at Trump.
  • Parked a vehicle full of explosives near the Trump rally – even though there is no online search history of Crooks researching how to make at-home explosives.
  • Crooks was able to walk around the premises after Snipers took a photo of him looking suspicious.
  • A sniper located in the second story window was only 40 feet away from Crooks and didn’t neutralize him.
  • Trump was still able to take the stage after Crooks was pegged as suspicious by Secret Service.
GOP Congressman Chip Roy (TX) asked Wray if any FBI agents expressed disappointment that Trump survived the assassination attempt.

“In 2015 and 2016 top FBI officials infamously texted about “their insurance policy to make sure Trump was never elected or inaugurated as president,” Chip Roy said referring to Lisa Page and Peter Strzok.

“Have any FBI agents texted, emailed or expressed disappointment that Trump survived the assassination attempt or otherwise editorialized about the assassination attempt?” Chip Roy asked Wray.

Wray said at least one FBI official has expressed disappointment that Trump wasn’t killed by the gunman.

“That individual has been referred to our inspection division,” Wray said.

Why wasn’t this person fired?

Trump Unloads on Chris Wray After FBI Boss Bizarrely Questions Whether He Was Actually Shot

Despite the fact that eight shots rang out on July 13 during a Pennsylvania campaign rally, despite retired fire chief Corey Comperatore being killed by gunfire and two others injured, and despite the fact that the GOP nominee’s doctor who actually treated the wound described it as a gunshot injury, Wray wasn’t convinced.

Responding to a question from Jordan, Wray said:

“With respect to former President Trump, there’s some question about whether or not it’s a bullet or shrapnel that hit his ear.”

Watch:

I'm unclear why there's "some question" when the former president's physician said quite clearly Trump "sustained a gunshot wound to the right ear":

The author of the above letter, Dr. Ronny Jackson, noted that the bullet came less than a quarter inch from entering the former president's head.

“As reported and witnessed by the entire world, he sustained a gunshot wound to the right ear from a high-powered rifle used by the would-be assassin,” former White House physician and current Congressman Ronny Jackson said in a statement on Saturday, a week after the shooting.
“The bullet track produced a 2 cm wide wound that extended down to the cartilaginous surface of the ear,” wrote [Rep] Jackson, (R-Texas), noting he examined Trump the night he was shot.
“There was initially significant bleeding, followed by marked swelling of the entire upper ear.”

Why One Name Being Considered for the Trump Assassination Attempt Task Force Is Causing Outrage

The excerpt points out how Goldman was involved in the first impeachment hearing against then-President Trump, though it's worth highlighting how close he was with Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and other Trump foes. Schiff was censured in June of last year for the lies he spread about the Russia collusion hoax as well as the call Trump had with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The call was used against Trump to impeach him the first time.

What's not mentioned in the newsletter is what Goldman said and was forced to apologize for last November while appearing on Jen Psaki's MSNBC show, "Inside with Jen Psaki."

The congressman declared to the former White House press secretary under President Joe Biden that Trump "has to be eliminated" when talking about the various cases against Trump and how he "cannot hold public office again," especially since he is "destructive to our democracy." Ironically, Goldman had been claiming that Trump's "rhetoric is really getting dangerous" and is using "inflammatory language" that is "incredibly, incredibly scary."

Members of the Trump family have not forgotten Goldman's remarks, including and especially Donald Trump Jr.

"Probably not the best person to have on this task force," Trump's oldest son posted as he shared a screenshot of the Friday morning newsletter.

Don Jr. also expressed his outrage over Goldman's comments in another post made the morning after his father had been shot.

FBI Clarifies That Bullet Struck Trump During Assassination Attempt At Rally

The FBI clarified Friday that a bullet struck former President Donald Trump during an attempt against his life in a rally on July 13.

An attempted assassin present near a Trump rally in Pennsylvania on July 13 opened fire and injured the former president before he was neutralized by the Secret Service. FBI Director Christopher Wray told Congress on Thursday that there were still “some questions” as to what exactly had struck Trump during the assassination attempt, whether it was a “bullet or shrapnel,” though did not directly mention whether glass fragments could be responsible, a theory that has been used by some in the media.
The FBI confirmed in a statement on Friday that it was indeed a bullet that hit Trump.

“What struck former President Trump in the ear was a bullet, whether whole or fragmented into smaller pieces, fired from the deceased subject’s rifle,” the FBI told the Daily Caller News Foundation in a statement.

The FBI Throws the FBI Under the Bus After Christopher Wray Pushed Conspiracy About Trump Gunshot Wound

The question Wray should have been faced with after his comment was, shrapnel from what? I've shot a lot of .223 rounds in my life and never once has one randomly exploded in mid-air. The teleprompters were not struck, as evidenced by pictures taken immediately after the assassination attempt. The bullets fired also went past Trump's head and killed a man standing in the background. Was he hit by "shrapnel" too?

Wray's suggestion was not only illogical, but it was insanely irresponsible. His remark went viral on the left, including in the press, with multiple outlets parroting the nonsense conspiracy theory.

On the right, demands for clarification arose.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., ranking member on the Senate Judiciary Committee, sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray on Friday morning, urging him to correct his testimony "immediately" when he said he was uncertain whether a bullet struck former President Trump in the ear at his July 13 Pennsylvania rally.
Wray testified Wednesday that he wasn’t sure if it was a bullet, piece of glass or shrapnel that struck Trump in the ear while he was speaking at the outdoor rally.

In response, the FBI put out a statement on Friday attempting to clean up Wray's mess:

While that's better than stupidly suggesting it was glass that struck Trump, the statement still reeks of contempt. It also once again leaves the door open for conspiracy theories. What evidence is there that the bullet "fragmented into smaller pieces?" How would that have even happened? It is clear watching the video of the shooting that no bullets struck the podium, teleprompters, or surrounding area. They were higher, which again, is why they ended up killing a man in the bleachers standing behind Trump.

Yet, the FBI, even throwing itself under the bus to avoid backlash, still wants to leave the waters just muddy enough to let BlueAnon run wild. It's so incredibly typical, and it's another reason Wray should be fired the moment Trump takes office, assuming he is victorious in November.

After FBI Dir. Wray Fueled BlueAnon Claims Trump Was Not Shot, FBI Admits He Was Struck by Bullet

“What struck former President Trump in the ear was a bullet, whether whole or fragmented into smaller pieces, fired from the deceased subject’s rifle”

Posted by Mike LaChance Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 10:00am 6 Comments

Just days ago, we pointed out how Trump assassination trutherism has become a thing on the political left. That was fueled in part by comments from FBI director Christopher Wray, who stupidly speculated that Trump’s ear could have been hit by ‘shrapnel’ rather than a bullet.

The FBI has clarified this with a statement, now that the damage is done.

It’s so obvious why this happened.
