I'm all for giving the addict what they need to kick the habit. To give them a drug in order to save their life after an overdose would be fine as long as they comitted themselves to rehab, stayed in rehab until they kicked the habit and then stayed clean.

They should get one chance at it. If they overdose a second time they don't want to quit so why try to save their life.
