In that case..

when your nipples touch your knees it's too late to do anything..

Better start mixing Calcium into your Geritol

Damn! If my spine continues collapsing, that could happen. I thought I was safe with my small boobs. :ohwell:

I don't know why I decided to do this tonight, but I opened the closet door that has my children's heights marked off through the years. I had also marked my height on there for reference.

I then backed up against the frame, and 'measured' myself.

1/2" has disappeared since 10-10-01. Where did it go?

It's true. I never wanted to believe it, but it is. :jameo:

Maybe back in the day you just had a bigger dew???

Like itsbob said, probably an indication of osteoporosis. Changes in bone density (particularly the femor) can cause "shrinkage". You might want to get a bone density check the next time you have a physical. Once you get to about 30 the shrinking begins and can total as much as two to three inches by the time you hit 70.
As the bone density and shrinkage have come up together... I just had a dexascan done this past week (bone scan for bone density) and the gal measured me at 5'7" (instead of the normal 5'7 3/4 or more that I normally register at)... I asked the tech if the height loss was indicative of impending results that will be the bearer of bad bone loss news... :ohwell:

She didn't seem to find it humorous...

I did it the first time and did it the same way this time. I even measured twice today thinking I had made a mistake.

I have lost height and I found it in foot length!!! Gravity!!
