I wouldnt order anything off there "internet store" Go in and see what they have, they can special order anything they dont have in stock. They are pretty damn solid !

I'll probably stop in and check them out next Friday. My son knows where the store is. He has been there a few times with is dad. But he won't be going on the trip with me, so thanks for the directions!

Get them wave boards! My bro has one, and it is freakin awesome. He can do all sorts of stuff on it. I didn't even attempt it. Just look it up on youtube...I'd post a link, but I'm blocked at work.

those are neat too!! Gosh I almost wish I was a kid again so I can skateboard and wakeboard again. Not sayiing I couldn't do it now....but you know how it is when you get older and you have different priorities. Not saying that you still can't have fun. It will be great when my daughter gets older. Right now I am enjoying her being 2!

Thanks People :yay:

Thank for all the input on this one folks. Just got back from dropping a tad over $400.00 on the venture. :lmao: Ended up getting a 'Blind' board and an 'Almost'. The guy who owns the place recommended these. They did come assembled from the factory. He said when choosing trucks and wheels those choices should be made based on the user's experience and what they are looking for the items to do for them. My boys don;t have the experience to make those choices yet. The assembled ones came with a very good setup from the factory and were made to fit the bill for a kids first adventure into these higher quality skateboards. I took the man's advice. I think one ran about 90 and the other 110 or so.

I also got them a complete pad set as well as some gloves, helmets and even the fancy backpacks to put all the gear in including the fancy straps to strap the skateboard to the back pack with.

So my boys are 'HOOKED UP' and ready to rock.

Thanks again folks.

Hey Jeff,

Go to the skatepark in Lexington Park -- Nicollete Park, it is run by the county and the guys there can tell you everything you need to know. Also, they will help your sons learn to skateboard. This past summer, my stepson was recruited by the skatepark to provide skate lessons for the kids. The lessons were free, they will also know some of the local kids who will help teach your kids some new tricks on the boards.

Yep that's the plan. I wanted to give them a bit nicer gear first though. They have it now, that's for sure. :lmao: I think that was the longest ride in a vehicle they ever had yeterday coming home from Central Skatboards. :lmao: They both sat in the backseat staring at those things and spinning the wheels waiting to get home and GO. :lmao:

Ok, took the rugrats down to the Skate Park in Lexington Park today. They had a ball. Not really good yet at all the vertical stuff thats there. But the park attendant, Bill Jones, was great with them. Took them to the back outta the way and taught some basic fundamentals.

Didn't take long before they felt comfortable working there way around through the various drops and such.
