Super bowl! Super Bowl! SUPER BOWL!

I can see, maybe, MAYBE somehow having a chance at a wild card end of season and THAT would be crazy good.

I can also see Robert get everyone excited, make some stunning plays, over .500 halfway and...being carted off with the latest season ender....

For someone that is supposedly so smart, when will he learn to keep his mouth shut??

Mitchell nailed this one; Robert is in an environment designed to tell him what he wants to hear, not what he needs to hear. So, Robert thinks this is sound thinking, that he needs to say stupid stuff like this to motivate himself, to motivate team mates, that this, somehow, in the mind of a 12 year old, is good for the team. Well, it's not. It's good for Snyder's PR machine. It uses Robert for what the company is all about; making those promotional dollars. So, once again, we're talking about the latest dumb thing this kids says because he's encouraged to do so to serve the companies promotional interests instead of someone who is more about winning and what that takes who will tell him to shut his ####ing mouth until he has DONE something worth talking about.

I mean, for ####s sake. All they need do is say "Look at Theisman. That guy earned it and he never shuts up about it. Do your talking AFTER you've earned it."

Just that simple.Team Promo wants and supports this juvenile stuff and it hurts the team winning BUT that was not and is not the goal so, SNAFU.

I understand that, sir. However, you keep taking short term gain, albeit steady and successful, that obviates any chance of hitting the grand prize.

I read the transcript of the interview. I think the "I'm the best QB in the NFL" line is being taken out of context.

To a certain extent, you are right..but he really needs the STFU. He should know by now that everything he says will be under a microscope, shaped and parsed in so many ways.

It was completely out of context.

RG III is down and obviously hurt. Is it mean of me to wish he is out for the season? :ohwell:
Depends. Would you be OK with people wishing for you to have a debilitating injury that would take at least 4 months to heal? If that's OK, then no...not mean at all.

And you act like he's the problem. He dropped back to pass 8 times last night and got hit 6 times. That's the OL, which is apparently still TERRIBLE. Sorry, Larry.

I feel bad for RGIII. He's always running for his life and has nightmares of people chasing after him. Twitter was blowing up with "take RGIII out of the game, save him from this nightmarish OL!" And then it was too late.

Yeah, the house of cards collapsed by reality. Again....

Majority of the skins gotta feel like they are stuck on a boys club team with a coach that insists on starting his not-so-good son at QB. (not saying that Gruden is happy with who he is starting, but orders are orders).

We'll see...the season is where it all counts.

I noticed the coach quoted as saying when he comes back he'll still be the starter. It also sounds like they may only keep 2 QBs this year. I wonder if last night changes that.

Could those 2 QBs be Cousins and McCoy?? I could be totally wrong but I think RG3's petulant attitude in his weekly press conference struck a nerve with the front office and they have finally decided to move on.
