OH MY GOSH!! The Mighty Washington Redskins LOST to my NEW YORK GIANTS?!?! to the tune of 20 - 14!

This was supposed to be a rout; someone, who shall remain nameless -predicted a 34 - 0 whitewash!

Gee, I wonder what they're saying today? :gossip:

BTW, another lost soul already has predicted a "run" to the SuperBowl, some guy who has a passion for -- "Anda one, anda two, anda three,.......Hail to the......" :loser: s.

After watching that disaster of a game, we now know why Brunnell was chosen over Ramsey to be the starting quarterback. :duh:

Didn't hear how serious Brunnell's hamstring injury is. Anybody know?

I still like Ramsey over Brunnell  I'd hate to see us lose him like Ferrot, Stan Humphreys or Trent Green

Let's see. Redskins went efficiently down the field and scored a touchdown with Brunnell. After Brunnell left, there were 7 turnovers including 3 or 4 interceptions by Ramsey. Yes, I can see why you'd like him. :duh:

It's hard to say how long Brunnell will be out of the lineup, but if the way he was walking around, after being on the sidelines for awhile was any indication, it shouldn't be too long; maybe a week or two.

After watching the Sportcenter replays this morning,(I was at the BeachBoys' Concert all evening), many of the skin's turnover weren't his fault.

Bad bounces, and the Giant's defensive secondary being lucky/in the right place at the right times - seemed to be the case.:peace:

In all fairness Ramsey did get us down the field too he just choked when he got down there. I don't want to have a quarterback that fumbles the ball every time he's hit... Brunnell this week AND last week. He is not the stellar QB anymore. I'd rather see Don Knotts at quarterback than Brunnel at this point.

Brunell's fumbles were not his fault, if you watched the games the announcers explained the scenarios that took place after the fumbles and the were both the center's fault. 1st game: lineman stepped on Brunells foot 2nd: The center gave a bad snap due to defensive lineman lining up directly over him.

Just glancing at The Washington Times Sports Pages, and I found the following quote:

"Washington likely won't know about Brunell's availability for several days. On the bright side, the veteran quarterback does have a long week to recover before Dallas comes to town next Monday.

"That's what I'm shooting for," he said. "The extra day certainly helps, but I'm certainly shooting for that big one against the Cowboys."

He's apparently day-to-day, and hopes to be ready for the Dallas game.

He better be healthy, or the Cowboys-Parcells-coached defense will eat him up, and the next time it won't be just a hamstring!!

That crap is WORSE than gloating. CUT IT OUT. You are entitled to rub it in.

For everyone else, OBVIOUSLY the Giants are HORRIBLE eaking out a win what, absent the turnovers, would have been...34-0.

Ramsey WILL start against the Boys because I say so. Hamstrings linger and Brunnel needs to be able to move, quick and sudden.

I'm OK with Ramsey because he's a gunner. Brunnel will certainly get better as the season goes on but Pat MOVED the team, he makes a decision and throws it.

As bad as we played we were still one play out of a win.

The defense is fantastic.

Gardner best get his head out his azz. Gibbs is looking for an Art Monk, a guy who makes ALL the easy catches.

Hah! Larry, I respect you and your opinions, but............., you are still sounding like - "what if, what if??"

I was being kind I'll admit, saying the Giants' secondary was lucky in finding themselves in the right places and at the right times, but pardner, the point IS, they were in the right defensive schemes to begin with!

Were they in fact, that lucky? Maybe it wasn't so much luck, as knowing the predictability of what the Skins' offense might try?

I saw Joe Gibbs tonight on the Weekly Redskins' report, and he said something to the effect that you can't win football games when you give the opposing team 7, count 'em, 7 turnovers!

His next statement was that the Offensive Unit was going to have to work extra hard in practice this week to overcome those shortcomings before their next game(Dallas).

He tried his best to sound confident, but I detected a little bit of worry in his demeanor.

God help the D.C. fans if Dallas beats the 'Skins next week!
