God help the D.C. fans if Dallas beats the 'Skins next week!

ahhh, Penn ... they're used to it by now! :really:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought since Joe Gibbs was back as coach and all, that the skins weren't ever gonna lose again ... that he was the answer to skins fans' prayers.

Oh, you're right on the money with that one! There are those in the Redskin Fan Club that will swear that Joe Gibbs is indeed the 2nd coming!

It didn't work out that way yesterday, did it?

Humphhh...

...first off, it's Dallas week and the boys are GOING DOWN!!!

Penn, the thing is for ANY NFL team is the results of the boo boos, what happens then?

Last week Shockey dropped a near certain touchdwon pass against the Eagles BUT the 'Ants drove it in anyway. No problem (other than he looked lost against us to).

If you look at the Portis fumble, obviously, the Giants scored on the play. It WOULD have been a first down for the Skins and the drive would have continued.

Probable 14 point swing.

Ramsey's toss in the end zone was preceeded by a first and goal at the one, false start, gotta throw inatead of plowing it in.

7 more points gone.

Everytime the Skins goofed, they were moving the ball or about to score. and the Giants then had not very far to go.

Teams have collective 'bad days'.

Crow now people, while you can!

But Larry, this is Joe Gibbs team we're talking about ... they aren't supposed to have "bad days". :ohwell:

Not true...

...crabbie one.

You are merely seeking to besmirch the Great One which is understandable as you worship at the alter of the fetid refuse of the lone star.

Football has more variables than an other sport because there are 22 people on the field competing at any given time and there are stoppages in order to set up the next sequence of action. Lotsa room for big boo boos.

Soccer 'flows' for the most part and is not even a sport to begin with. It is pointless wind sprints, other than exercise, as preface to exchange dirty laundry.

All we loyalists have been saying is that Gibbs will minimalize mistakes and maximize the good stuff.

I pointed out how Spurrier was better than his rep and that Gibbs will get us a play here and there that Spurrier couldn't quite get done.

Sunday was just one of those days that Spurrier seemed to have all to often.

The Redskins were clearly the better team and simply kept screwing up.

You'll see Monday night as the Cowboys feel our wrath.

Ahem. Die, die I say, you gravy sucking pigs!!!

:lmao: Oh, great soothsayer, I hope your wisdom is sounder than the
performance the native American team from DC showed us during this
ill-fated weekend!

I seem to recall you predicted a crushing defeat for the rulers of the Meadowlands as well, and there were boastful words as well . You now turn your ageless insight on the upcoming rivalry between the cowboys and indians; let us not forget history, sir!

We know who won over the great nations of tribes, and it may well come true again.

GW came from the Lone Star State; he came he saw, and he conquered!:lmao:

That crap is WORSE than gloating. CUT IT OUT. You are entitled to rub it in.

For everyone else, OBVIOUSLY the Giants are HORRIBLE eaking out a win what, absent the turnovers, would have been...34-0.

Ramsey WILL start against the Boys because I say so. Hamstrings linger and Brunnel needs to be able to move, quick and sudden.

I'm OK with Ramsey because he's a gunner. Brunnel will certainly get better as the season goes on but Pat MOVED the team, he makes a decision and throws it.

As bad as we played we were still one play out of a win.

The defense is fantastic.

Gardner best get his head out his azz. Gibbs is looking for an Art Monk, a guy who makes ALL the easy catches.

Yeah!!!! where's the calendar?? someone on here actually agrees with me on something!!!!!
:huggy: Good green square comin' at ya'!!!! :huggy:

Hah! Larry, I respect you and your opinions, but............., you are still sounding like - "what if, what if??"

I saw Joe Gibbs tonight on the Weekly Redskins' report, and he said something to the effect that you can't win football games when you give the opposing team 7, count 'em, 7 turnovers!
Well I say there's a first time for everthing. He should have been more positive. I know that I face the risk of being called unpatriotic if I critique Gibbs, but it seemed like he had already given up after 5 turnovers and called it a day. Ramsey was the one that kept trying. A for effort. As proof for Gibbs giving up too early when we were in a division game down by a touchdown, Gibbs should have used a time out on the critical 4th and 4. It was a do or die situation, we had two timeouts and 1:45 on the clock and we were moving the ball. I was horse after the game from screaming out loud "TIMEOUT!!!! TIMEOUT!!" Not only did we not use a timeout to call the next few plays if we did get a first down, and adding insult to injury, we went into "hurryup offense" on that 4th and 4. :frown: Instead he just chalked this game up to - can't win with that many turnovers. BS we could have. I can understand if it was the Cleveland Browns or some team that we were playing but we were playing a division team. Last I checked, we really need to win those. I'm very disappointed in the Skins. Hope they can beat Dallas next week.

Before it's too late, I hope the local stations realize that they'd draw more of a viewing audience if they showed the Eagles games. :peace:
