I did a check of my SMECO bill back in May sometime and found that SMECO had went up 28.5%. I believe it actually happened in January of this year. So yep I'm sure your summer bill did look much higher if your running AC. I about died when I got my bill this month. It's really sad that all the utilities are so sky high now around here. I mean I paid $3.05 a gal for my propane this month, what's things coming too.

January 28 my energy charge part of the bill went up 1.59¢ per kwh and I believe some other charges also jumped.
