That's a new one!

Actually it's not. Think about someone snorting a drug, the membranes in the nose are much more delicate and allow for faster absortion into the body. The membranes in the large intestine, i.e. colon, are much the same, and allow for faster absortion into the body also.

Some years back a person died on a trans-oceanic flight into the United States. The toxicology reports indicated a heroin overdose and the autopsy revealed a broken balloon in the large intestines. The balloon had ruptured and the intestines absorbed the heroin fast enough to kill the would be smuggler by overdose.

We'll just take your word for it. I'll just stick to my beer every now and then. Starting my evening off trying to poke stuff up my butt just ain't my idea of a good time. LOL

You have expressed something that repeatedly crossed my mind. THC usually makes someone more mellow, if anything. The harder substances are usually what create such a wide variance in someone's personality and behavior. He even commented that he wondered if the stuff he was buying was laced with something. I don't know if more than THC was involved, and I don't want to know. Someone who has been quietly observing on the sidelines contacted me last night. It seems there are no lengths to what someone who is on drugs will do or say to try to create a picture that will protect themselves.

THC levels in common weed have, in the last 30 years, increased by about 400% (no links, IMO). THC is psychoactive and should be avoided by those predisposed to anxiety or schizophrenia. THC gives the high that most recreational users are looking for.

CBD levels work to relieve issues with muscle spasms, convulsions, and inflammation that most medical users are seeking.

CBC has anti-depressive effects on the user, while augmenting the pain relieving properties associated with both CDB and THC.

Researchers have demonstrated both pain relieving and inflammation reducing effects of CBG which reduces intraocular pressure, associated with glaucoma.

Most recreational weed today is cultivated for the highest level of THC, while ignoring the benefits of the lesser levels of other beneficial compounds.

Breeders have for years been refining their strains to concentrate either, on the more beneficial compounds for the medical user, or higher THC levels for the recreational user.

THC seems to be the fastest acting of the chemicals occurring in common weed, causing an intense high to begin with, followed by the more relaxing euphoric effects of the other compounds being felt as the "high" subsides.

In the aftermath, users develop the intense need to crank up Pink Floyd and consume massive amounts of snack foods and Dr. Pepper.

High CBD strains are making a surge. Especially now that folks are learning that it helps with seizures.
