The morning forecast looks like a Sunday night-to-Tuesday morning event...current numbers over 5 inches.
Its been a LONG time!
Might enjoy some quality reading time!

Snow....then Rain...then snow. 6.5 inches.
Icy roads are 100%.

I'll call for school snow day on Monday,...likely delays for Tuesday AM.

I'm excited for you all. I used to love being snowed in. I mean, I love wearing shorts and flipflops year round better, but I miss snow days. We're supposed to participate in winter next week so I bought some sweatpants and got this awesome parka at Goodwill for $14.

Thankfully, I go back to my normal schedule with Mondays off next week. I've got 4 wheel drive, but don't want to have to use it unless absolutely necessary.

Nothing to see here
I have to take my wife up the road for a medical appointment Tuesday so if we are going to get the snow, rather sooner than later. Do not feel like driving in it.

We stocked seasoned oak for the wood stove so bring it on!! I love the snow and know how to drive in it but I will gladly stay off the roads because so many idiots can't! Just the amount of accidents on "good" weather days is astounding!

As of Friday morning, this is what the National Weather Service says for NAS PAX...

Sunday Night - Snow likely before 1am, then snow, possibly mixed with sleet. Low around 27. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
Monday - Rain and snow. High near 39. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
Monday Night - A chance of snow before 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Fox 5 DC is guessing T - 4 in.

Lets you get farther into trouble before you need help.
Believe me, I know it doesn't make me invincible. At my age, I'll be happy to let it sit in the driveway until the plows come through. The BFG All Terrains are one of the best snow tires I've ever run, but they're no match for snow over ice like we usually get.
