More than likely ,this time of year what you observed was from a batch of this years hatched juvy. black rat snake. If it just had shed,it would be hard to really pinpoint the species as it takes about 72 hours after they shed,to get there true colors and markings back.

Ok then, try a valium for that stress. Personally, I see a HUGE difference in cats and dogs verses snakes. But you do what you think is right. I bet you left me the rabies karma, didnt you. :lalala: . Hey, I think all spiders shoud be killed too. I dont like them any more than I like you.

I'm not the one claiming to be an animal lover, yet will kill some harmless animals out of an irrational fear ie I'm not a hypocrite, I'm an Equal Oportunity Killer. Of course, a mammal is MUCH more likely to attack you than a herp...

Also, I'm not all bent out of shape over anything. And who needs valium when you have a life filled with wanton violence, sex, drugs, and insanity?

BTW, I don't waste my time leaving karma unless it's humorous.

the snake kept falling off it and scaring him so he beat it to death with the oar.
:lmao:

I hate snakes, too, and would faint if I ever saw one in or around my house. Of course, if it was a bird-eating snake.....

We had a 5' black snake inside our kitchen. At first we thought it was a black stick lying alongside the sliding door. Then it moved.

I was fascinated. But when it curled up and made like it wanted to explore the living room, it was time to act. I swooped down and grabbed it behind the head and hung on for dear life. It opened its mouth as wide as it could and whipped its long body around my arms.

Let it go in a field across the street. Happy snake. Happy us. Win-win.

Me when encountering a snake = :faint:

Next time any of you catch a snake that needs relocating, feel free to contact me and I will come get it. It will be quite happy living in the woods behind my house.
