WRC just showed live pics of the bridge. Total gridlock. Part of the problem is the congestion which is preventing trucks from clearing and salting. Until the gridlock is removed, no one is going anywhere.Son has been at a total standstill on the Woodrow Wilson bridge for the last 2 hours, not sure what the issue is.
Had that issue with an old genny I had..turned out the gas (w ethanol) ate the carb up..replaced the carb, now I cut the gas off and let the engine starve out.Damn generator failed to start....can't figure out how to jump start it. Can't get close enough with a car or truck. I guess I know what I will be doing the next day or two.
Yeah, had watched a few news shows showing that in the last hour...but son said he has moved 40 feet, so maybe it will clear up by tomorrow.WRC just showed live pics of the bridge. Total gridlock. If the carb is gummed up, I found that 90% isopropyl alcohol takes the varnish right off. clean the carb parts, run some thru the tank/carb gas line.Damn generator failed to start....can't figure out how to jump start it. I shut my gen off in a hurry one time with e10 gas and did not run it dry. The next run it spewed gas out of everywhere a gasket used to be. Milt regasketed everything and always run it dry, no problems since.Had that issue with an old genny I had..turned out the gas (w ethanol) ate the carb up..replaced the carb, now I cut the gas off and let the engine starve out.

Between ice storms and snow storms, I have a ton of horror stories driving home from work from DC I know one of those ice storms in 94 it took me 7 hours to get home to PF.I remember back in like 1990, we had a freaky snow on Veterans day. My dumb self, went to work just as the snow started. I lived in Mechanicsville and worked in Lorton. Well, around noon, people started leaving. It took me 10 1/2 hrs to get home. Took 4 hrs to cross Wilson bridge. Same situation, huge pile of cars going nowhere at the bridge. Noone could make it up the hill.
