So how is covid really affecting your life?

I've been thinking about this. Perhaps we haven't been sick, myself included, because other people are keeping their cooties under control with hand sanitizer. I've always washed my hands frequently with anti-bacterial dish liquid, but many folks don't even bother to wash their damned hands after using the bathroom. Everyone here that works in an office has probably got at least one person that don't wash up after a trip to the head. :twitch:

That's a good point. I'm a hand-washer but apparently a lot of adults aren't because the CDC had to issue a directive and instructions, and all over the public restrooms you see reminders - "Hey, you filthy animals, wash your damn hands!" So now that these messes are washing their hands, they're not spreading their cooties all over the place. Also they're wearing masks and not coughing and sneezing all over the place.

NO colds at all for me, either. Except for COVID.

I'm thinking I may well have gotten it at the Hospital building next to Calvert Hospital. I had to have a procedure done in the doctor's office the very last week of Feb. I went in there and a week later - COVID.

I wasn't really "watching" where I went - I've been going about my normal routines. I don't sanitize my hands other than washing them frequently and wiping off shopping carts (Like I always have)

Every other place I was at that week was either someplace I'd been to dozens of times (Walmart, Safeway, work) or multiple times, OR a maybe a new place with small number of people around me who might have been new to me, but not one of them got sick.

So how is covid really affecting your life?

It's giving me a laugh and a half.....
Went to Ace Hardware in L'Town. Get on the checkout line, turn to look behind me, a few people on line. Guy right behind me makes eye contact, I acknowledge and turn forward. He starts talking... "Have you heard that Castor Oil is good for preventing Covid?" Laughing under my breath turn and say, "No, haven't heard that one...", thinking to myself that Castor Oil is mildly toxic. Turn away, and he keeps going on about Castor Oil... good for you, good for diabetics....

Covid has affected my life by making me aware of just how crazy our government, leftists, and fools in general, are. I refuse to be terrified, hide in my house, wash myself in hand sanitizer, or shun people because I MIGHT get sick. I might win the lottery.... YMMV

I wouldn't say crazy, I think it has pointed out how stupid the majority of the people in power are, whether they be congress critters or supergrades/appointees in government orgs. They are good at one thing, and one thing only, promoting themselves.

The worst for me was daughter's HS graduation getting messed up. But, schools did the best they could given the parameters they were given and we still had family that has already planned on coming from out of state (gasp) come and party with us. It was over 10 people here, too. I had to tele-work for a bit, and like everyone else, had to mask up.

This is also true.

One really good thing has come out of all this crap - all my grandkids wash their hands before dinner now. That was becoming a "lost art", but now they think its normal. Good ol' soap and water. They wouldn't listen before but insist on it now.

Has not changed much of anything, wear a mask when needed stores , medical area and bars . Not vaxxed and have no intention to ,don't trust it. Been to Mexico three times this year , Hatteras once . Met the 1st person who had covid in Mexico in December almost a frickin year before I met the 1st one (go figure )
