SO: How is Judge Moore doing?

So no, a person who willingly takes part in a movie, play, or skit can not be taken seriously when they complain about things that happen to the charecter they are playing on stage as if that happened to them in real life.

I totally get it. If a woman has a role that shows her making love, with a lot of hot kissing and groping, she deserve to be kissed and groped by every guy she comes across. As an added bonus, she not only deserves it, she is asking to be sexually molested against her will by her male counterpart in the movie. Progressives have made it clear that if a woman complains under these circumstances, we are to dismiss it as petty and whiny. Thanks for clarifying the double-standard we have long known existed with you progressives.

Do you not understand what acting is? I guess you think porn stars should be able to claim sexual assault years after they make a gangbang movie? Do you also think Daniel Craig should be held accountable for ‘assaulting’ those Bond girls?

The real analogy is when actors are filming a simulated sex scene for a mainstream movie and the male actually penetrates without the actress' permission.

Why are you going on about this? Al Franken has shown more grace about this issue that you are, which should give you pause to think about your cultlike behavior.

Shark, officially jumped.... nobody got raped

Actually Franken didn’t. He apologizec for making a bad joke in the photo and denied her accusations about the stuff related to the skit. Denial isn’t really grace, although I give him a tiny bit of credit for calling for the ethics investigation

That’s just a stupid strawman. The sexual harassment she was complaining about was part of the act. She knew it was in the script and she agreed to the rehearsal knowing that. THEN she still went on stage and did the same act.

If she has a claim it is what is in the photo. However, he said that was just an inappropriate joke.

If required for a close up shoot in a movie or TV sequence yes. Just to show a 'kiss' on stage no.
The clip of LeeAnn Tweeden with Robin Williams that you posted shows exactly that.

Really, I couldn’t tell if either slipped the other the tongue or not, but Robin did not appear to consent to the ass smack.

I caught this movie "Unfaithful" a few weeks ago. The sex scenes get pretty intense. It was a good movie, but I kept finding myself distracted with thinking how they do these scenes on a professional level and keep a respectful, professional atmosphere. What is it like off set? I am always suspicious that a lot of sexual misconduct/abuse happens, and goes unspoken, because the victim feels they can't complain because of the circumstances - they are consenting to 'simulated' (or not) sex, how can they possibly complain about unwelcome sexual advances?

Okay, so I'm watching this interview with the Leigh Corfman (the woman who was 14 accusing Moore) on CNN. She claims she told family what happened back when Moore allegedly committed these sexual acts against her. She didn't specify which family members. Moore was an assistant district attorney at the time. This raises the obvious question... why didn't any of her family members file a complaint with the police? Mom, dad? Other family members? Friends? Sat on it? For 40 years?

This just makes even harder for me to believe.

The only one I saw was when he said he was sorry if he had made Leeanne feel uncomfortable, that he meant it in jest, and shouldn't have done it.

Also, do you understand what an "analogy" is? "A comparison between two things, typically for the purpose of explanation or clarification." You're welcome.

Leigh Corfman told friends what happened. She is 14, in Jr High school. Kids don't keep these kinds of things secret. This story would have floated around her school like wild fire. I can imagine the mocking and harassing Ms. Corfman would have had to tolerate. I can remember the rumor of a girl in Jr High (this was around the same time in the mid 70s) that got felt up by a boy that was older than her. That rumor went everywhere and she was teased endlessly about it. I remember that to this day. You think Ms. Corfman's school-mates don't remember this story and aren't willing to talk about it today? Dead silence on that front.

Many of these women take their clothes off and simulate sex for a living. They are a fine line from being porn stars. I guffaw loudly when they complain about being treated as a sex object, and roll my eyes when they say they were "sexually harassed" by their male bosses and co-workers. Note that male actors aren't typically required to get nekkid for their roles, but women frequently are. Nobody forced them into these roles, or even this profession - they chose it.

I don't know Leeanne Tweeden and never even heard of her before these accusations. But I'll tell you what I notice: all these Hollywood actresses swarming the press with their stories of harassment and abuse with absolutely zero visible proof, and the progs tut tut and sympathize with them. But you let some actress accuse one of their political masters (with a photograph) and they lose their #### - can't disparage the woman fast or hard enough.

We need to bust up the loyal partybot mentality in this country. It's scary and dangerous.

You're operating from a standpoint of logic. When it comes to dealing with these progressives you need to stop doing that. We have been told, incessantly, that when a woman complains about sexual harassment or abuse, we are to take them seriously.

UNLESS it's a conservative or unaffiliated woman making the accusation; or it's an accusation against a political prog hero. Then they are to be attacked and mocked and disparaged.

I remember all too well the way the progpress and Leftist politicians went after Monica Lewinsky and ripped that girl to shreds.

I haven’t seen anyone disparage Tweeden. In fact you echo my point in your first paragraph.

The British fellow say that the women that go into these ofices know what they are doing, know what they are facing , and do it anyway/.

Not sure he isn't right.

This casting couch mentality didn't start yesterday, it has been a Hollywood staple for years.
If Momma or Daddy was a star you might have a chance of getting stardom without putting out, but the rest appear to be fair game.

If it happened and you didn't complain ,why tell everyone about it years later?

Ok, other than YOU, I haven’t seen anyone disparage Tweeden.:yay:

Clearly you do not participate in any social media, you dinosaur you. They're all over Twitter and Facebook. They come up in my trending topics almost every day.

Obviously you don't watch the political talk shows, either.

Just because you severely limit your information doesn't mean it's not happening.

OK so what you are implying is that because this woman posed for Playboy that she is a slut and Al Franken had every right to harass and humiliate her.
I don't have a problem with that as long as you also admit that Al Franken is a POS for doing it.

We are on an Internet forum right now. No one was attacking Tweeden. I don’t see it on my Facebook feed either, but I’m not a real Facebook person.
I do watch plenty of news and op ed type shows and still not seeing it. Maybe you should choose you news and friends better :yay:
