So Unbelievable

I just thought that everyone should see this, since they're not showing it on the news.

http://www.solargeneral.com/video/pizzabeating.mov

Basically this white guy Joseph Scarpino was in a small pizzashop in Ohio, when an African-American female by the name of Prestina Sims walked in and cut to the front of the line. Joseph was on his cellphone, talking to his fiance. He made a comment along the lines of "the pizza's gonna take a little longer, because someone just cut to the front of the line".

Sims was not happy about this and started helling at Scarpino, continuely flicking him in the face and hitting him upside his head. When the manager asks her to leave she reponds by spitting in his face. The manager gets upset and proceeds to confront her, until he sees her 6ft 4in boyfriend Mark Jones enter through the front door. Jones proceeds to yell at the manager until Sims says, no it's this "white m*ther-f**er right here". She then hits Scarpino a few more times before Scarpino finally can't take it and confronts her.

This is when her boyfriend Jones, steps up, and for no reason, sucker-punches Scarpino right in the face. Scarpino tries to leave, but Jones hits him in the back of the head, then with an uppercut to the face, then in the back of the head a few more times, before Scarpino falls to the floor. The whole time he's calling him a "white mf'er" and saying "you ain't talking now". He then begins to throw Scarpino around the floor, looking for his cell phone.

Okay, why didn't anyone in the place intervine. I know that I probably would have gotten my a@@ kicked, but how can you watch someone just get the living crap beat out of them like that?

Jones went on trial and received only 4 years for assualt. He's been in jail before, and obviously, it hasn't helped him, so if I were the judge, he would have been locked up for life. Scarpino is also filing a $25,000 civil suit, which should be more like $300,000. Sims goes on trial on March 19th. If anyone can find her phone number, I would love to call her and ask her exactly why she felt that she was in the right.

Supposedly during the trial of Jones, he and Sims claimed that Scarpino was making racial comments, as we can see from the video, he never said a single word to either party. Also, all of the witnesses, or should we say, spectators, testified that this was not the case. It was a glorious moment when, towards the end of the trial after the defense had made thier case that Jones felt threatened, and he didn't hit first, and it was racially charged towards him, the Prosecution showed the tape. I would have loved to have seen the look on Jones' face when they showed this. Priceless.

Another act of senseless violence, too bad they don't have that Good Samaritan Law in Ohio like they do in New York, because everyone of those men that did nothing to stop Jones deserve 30days at least in jail.

I've noticed that a few news stations are picking it up, the sad thing is that it happened last year. I just found out about it today. It makes me sick :shocking:

Voter2002

"Fill your hands you SOB!
Just ANOTHER sad case of people "playing the race card" to tip things in their favor. They can't justify what they did, so they say it was racially motivated against them.

Good thing they had the tape or I'm sure the white guy would have been made the bad person in this case.

And of course...let's not forget the news MAGGOTS. If this was a true white-on-black hate crime, it would have been reported as breaking news and they would have been all over it. But seeing how it turned out to be a white hate crime, it barely gets mentioned. Almost delivered with a  and a "...oh by the way" attitude.

Race card pulling happens all the time, African Americans are far more discriminated against in the United States than whites. It's a two-way street though, I've seen both sides pull it, however, I have never felt as a white person that I am being judged based on my color, however, I have seen my partner, on the other hand, be judged for her color, cases in point:

We go into Wal-mart, I am looking at a digital camera, my partner a few steps away from me, I put the camera down, the cashier lady (white) says nothing to me, my partner comes along picks it up, and the cashier lady says be careful with that, it's expensive. I looked at my partner, and said yeah, you better be careful, she must think you can't afford it since you're black.

Another case in point, going into Pebbles Department Store, I am looking around in the women's section, my partner is on the other side, three employees are over there, each asking her if she needs help, none come to ask me if I need help, I could have been over there ripping them off.

When I was in high school, I worked part time at a Pet shop, my boss who then relocated his business to the park, purposefully told me to what the black people that came in for shop lifting, two weeks later I quit.

I am sure people are going to post smart a$$ replies to this, but bottomline is it goes both ways, but I truly feel and know through experience, that black people are far more discriminated against than white people. It's America's classification, we have to classify everything, we just can't wake up and be of the human race, we have to be black, white, hispanic, etc., and then the stereotypes come into play. The difference is recognizing the fact that you may or may not stereotype and letting your actions speak louder than your thoughts.

In the words of Fez, I say Good Day!

(Disclaimer: I will not use the term African American, unless I am referring to someone who has actually relocated from Africa in their lifetime)
No smart ass reply, but there is a higher level of sensitivity to any interactions between different races.
It's automatically assumed by many (didn't say all and didn't say most) black people, that they are discriminated against by white people, and that makes them much more sensitive about interactions with white people. If it had been another black cashier that said "be careful- that's expensive" to your friend- you wouldn't even have remembered that conversation. White people feel that they have to walk on eggshells with people of differing races- escpecially if they don't know the person.
Can't we all just get along!!?

Bill Cosby would say that a big part of the reason for this behavior is because the black community doesn't police themselves, i.e. they don't take responsibility for themselves.

Now, I know there are exceptions to every stereotype, and I'm certainly not racist - if I meet someone that I can respect, regardless of race, I respect them - but I tend to agree with Cosby.

Maybe your partner didn't bring it on himself, but the black community as a whole brings a lot of it - not all but a lot of it - on themselves.

So basically even if I'm not racist, I SHOULD have to watch everything I say because someone else is sensitive about me, JUST because I'm white?
That's a load of crap.

Sorry but I completely disagree. If someone chooses to be sensitive about things I say ONLY because I'm white...what the he!! do you call that?

My question is, can you not have a HATE crime against a white person? If you can why wasn't this a hate crime, and the big stupid SOB get 20 years instead of 4?

ANd I agree racism exists on BOTH sides of the coin, but I think for every racist white, and every racist black, there are 50 that aren't.

Sleuth...
It really doesn't matter what your lily white azz thinks. You are not black! My son got punched in the eye in Gym on Friday and came home with a huge shiner. His Step Father said... "That's what you get for playing "N" ball.

They do live with hatred and while it comes back at us from time to time it's what we get! I won't return the red karma because I'm not into playing silly games.

I pray the you are reicarnated as a poor black man living in the bronx.

Love Kain
