There are so many pumpkin' products out there this time of year. Does all that pumpkin strike your fancy, or do you stick with your tried and true?
Who brews the best pumpkin' beer? What other 'seasonal's' do you recommend?

I'm over pumpkin beer and it's not even October yet. I used to get all excited and look forward to the punky stuff, but not now that they've glutted the market with pumpkin everything.

My new favorite for fall is BigLeaf Maple Autumn Red by Anchor Brewing Co.

I recently tried Sam Adams Harvest Pumpkin Ale. Not bad. Tonight I picked up Yuengling Oktoberfest. I think it's mostly in line with how Sam Adams Octoberfest tastes....maybe not quite as 'heavy' or strong.

I'm reaching way back in my memory, but I think you had said some time ago that you liked the Banana Bread Beer (made by Wells Brewing). I had that before and loved it. Tonight I also picked up Wells Sticky Toffee Pudding Ale. Trying it right now. It has a slight toffee taste, but it's a little bitter. Not nearly as good as the Banana Bread beer.

Sam Adams Octoberfest.

Love the fall, and fall beers

Yup. Though I am sure someone will come along with a more accurate example, I hold Sam's Octoberfest as THE beer that started it all. Of course, there's was Sam Adam's Boston Lager before that and brews like Anchor Steam were becoming available nationwide but, for me, SA Oktoberfest is the one. They do a good pumpkin, too.

I'm not a big ale fan, but I tried Smuttynose's Pumpkin Ale. Bought a 6 pack last year, 4 are still in the fridge.

I want to try a few different beers, but so far, SA is great. I may try the Pumpkin Ale.

I agree Larry. I've tried many different Fall beers and Sam Adams Octoberfest is still my favorite. It is perfection. :yay:

also have lots of Shipyards beer - one is easier to drink than the other but both are still good.

Sam's pumpkin is a good example of the genre but, I would never argue for it over O'fest

I enjoyed Blue Moon Mountain Abbey Ale last year around the Winter season. Not sure if it's out yet.
