I rear ended the dude while he was completely stopped on 235 at 8:15 in the morning because he was letting someone merge.
:liar: I think you ran into him because you weren't watching where you were going.
How much you premiums go up will depend on the cost of his claim. If he starts claiming injuries and goes for the whiplash retirement plan, expect a hefty increase. I backed into a Caddallic last year and dented their door. My rates went up about $20 a month.

Nope, not lying. He was slowing down, I was slowing down (its a dangerous place), he came to a complete stop, I couldn't. I'm not saying that it's not my fault, it is. I guess one car length + wasn't enough room between us. But who stops to let someone merge?

They do all the time in DC ,especially at gridlocked intersections  Glad to hear everything was ok and noone was hurt :huggy: Just wondering... how fast were you going that you were one + car length away and couldn't stop?

I believe you were driving way to fast for the road conditions.

I'll bet Dems would stop in moving traffic on an 8 lane highway to let someone merge.
:gossip:only idiot I could think of at the moment

I'm not sure. It wasn't like 60 or anything. I would say that when I first slammed my brakes on, we had already slowed to 30. But that's just a guess. We were already slowed because of people merging left and others turning right (it was at the Sheetz on Chancellor's Run and 235).

was that really necessary apshole?

And here, you are the one that backed into a cadallac -- not excatly the smallest of cars on the road -- and hit it a cadallac that was sideways :jet:

I hate when people do that. Idiots. Morons. You have the right of way, take it and you won't cause accidents because people will know what you're doing.

Was parked next to the hedge in the Blockbuster parking lot. I was backing out as she came around the end of the hedge. Neither of us could see the other till we met in the middle.
Was leaving there yesterday. I'm sitting at the stop sign waiting to turn left toward 235 and some idiot stops and starts trying to wave me out. I had to lay on the horn to get him to accept that he had the right of way.

Too freakin' bad. What about the courtesy that should be extended to the guy behind you who has the right of way? That display of courtesy caused an accident that would have otherwise not occured.

I was responding to ASPs scenario that didn't cause an accident. I am in agreement with you and Ehesef... a complete stop was not necessary, especially during rushhour.

He was just being courteous. :ohwell:
No, he was being an idiot. I had a stop sign and he was driving on the thru street and decided to stop in the middle of the road. If I had pulled out and he hit me, whose fault would it be? The courteous thing to do would be to get the he11 out of my way, not stop and wave at me.
It's one thing to let someone pull in front of you while you're stopped in traffic and another to stop traffic to let someone pull out.
