Dude, that article is about the thermosphere cooling...it does it every solar cycle.

Trump has no chance in 2020 and the Senate map will be much more favorable to the Democrats. It would be nice to pickup Mississippi in the meantime.

There are known problems with wild fires, mudslides and other negative natural forces in California because it is geologically and environmentally unstable. The problem is that those things are ignored in favor of granting development rights in areas where no one should live. Blame the developers and county/state officials who do know better because they have been warned by scientists repeatedly.

To better understand California look what happened to Ellicott City, in MD.
Development caused massive flooding there.

I usually describe it as balancing out your debt by putting it all on credit cards or borrowing against retirement.

There's LOTS of ways to "balance" a budget. One thing I keep an eye on is budget items spread out over two or more years,
so there's "debt", it's just paid out over years.
