Solid White Line

I have always been taught that a solid line on the road was NOT to be crossed (illegal).

A rust colored (I'm bad with colors) Corvette decided to pull into the bike lane on base yesterday afternoon and sit there. He could have waited another minute for the Left Turn light so he could move up safely. Instead, he decided to pull into the bike land and NOT MOVE!! He had PLENTY of room to go around the car (my F-250 could have made it around).

Why are people SO IMPATIENT?? He did NOT get home any faster by doing that!!

It sounds as if he was blocking the shoulder to stop others from crossing the white line AND illegally passing on the right. Is that what happened?

Nothing to see here
I seen the base cops awhile back sitting near the hobby shop while the traffic was backed up from people waiting for the left turn arrow. As people who wanted to go straight, crossed the solid white line to move forward in the bike lane, the cops were pulling them over and giving tickets.

happy to be living
Two impatient drivers in a hurry cut me off (crossing the solid line) southbound to get ahead of me going over the TJ bridge yesterday. Big truck hauling a trailer ahead going slow. Both fidiots got stuck behind him all the way up to the light at 235.
Makes me laugh!

People don't follow traffic laws. Just ask the jackass that almost t-boned me making an illegal U-turn at gate one yesterday. Sorry son-of-a-bitch rat bastard mother ####er.

Yes.

I don't think his depth perception was working, and he had NO idea how much room was between his and the car in front of him.

I have seen this in the past, but not in a while. ESPECIALLY not during the furlough.

Almost forgot but there was a guy on a bike behind the Vette yelling at the guy in the Vette for blocking the bike lane.

Too bad the guy on the bike didn't have the stones to scrape his way by the 'vette. THAT would've been something to watch, huh? "I'm sorry, did by left pedal gouge the whole right side of your purdy Corvette.....dumba**?"

Its called inferno orange. Sometimes it can be hard to judge what space you can fit a wide body corvette through.

If it was Tuesday afternoon around 3:15, it was me! I REALLY wanted to "accidently" scrape his side, but I just didn't have it in me.
