I took the last 905 (the 7:35 run) out of Charlotte Hall this morning and didn't get to work until about 10:00. :yikes:

We didn't stop at the Metro, but we did end up sitting on Suitland, trying to make our way to Firth Sterling/395.

I'll be catching an earlier bus tomorrow.

I left Mechanicsville at 4AM and took Branch Ave. to Penn. Ave. to Captiol Hill and was there at 5AM. I left work at 2PM and went out Penn. Ave to 295S to the Suitland Parkway to Rt. 4 then down thru Dowerhouse to 301 then thru Brandywine to home. One hour almost to the minute. I lucked out coming out of town and there was no one on the Parkway. So far so good. There's still alot of people on vacation. It'll get worse before it gets better.

Got home about 20 minutes later again today. We went to Branch Ave to pick up and nobody got on there. What a waste of time.

If they just dedicated 2 buses to/from Suitland only, it would help out the metro riders and the people that don't do the metro.

I just missed the light on Route 4 today, heading towards Leonardtown so it took me an extra two minutes to get to work. I hate that. It was about 15 minutes instead of 12.

Took the 909 from California at 6:30 today; didn't get to 19th and K until after 9, suppose to get there before 8:30am. I am not sure if we went to Metro or not, honestly, as I don't know the route well enough. My husband has the 7 minute door to desk :bs:commute , but I only do this once a week so I can't complain either; bless you folks that do it everyday. Took the 5:08pm out of K St. 909 tonight and it, too, was about 30 minutes behind. Reading a good book helps. I am so thankful I don't have to drive; not sure why you would from way down yonder.

I took the (905) 4:15 bus the last two days, and the 4:30 bus this morning out of Charlotte Hall. I have been arriving in my office off K street between 5:30 a.m. and 5:45 this morning. Working a 9 hour flex, and low office support, I have to work until 4-4:30. The 4:35 p.m. (909) on 19th & K the last two days got me to Charlotte Hall the normal time....around 6:15 p.m., and the 4:17 bus arrived in good time....around 6 p.m. Traffic hasn't been too bad so far...just tired as heck!! :eyebrow: :coffee: Scheduled Flex Day on Friday!!! :starcat:

Is going Suitland Pky, Rt. 4,to Dower, to Woodyard to Rosaryville, to Frank Tippett to 301 to Missouri quicker then going Suitland Pky to Branch to Brandywine.

Its been awhile since Ive come down that way at rush hour is the light at Surratts bad at that time I know the one at Brandywine Rd is horrible.
Guess it adds about 5-8 more miles on the commute, but at least your still moving.

It does add mileage but like you say, at least you move. Surratts and Brandywine are indeed horrible. I made it to and from work again today in 1 hour. So far so good. :yay: :yay:

I come around the beltway but I take the way you described.

Gotta hint for ya. Skip Dowerhouse and go on up the 1 mile to Woodyard then cut back across to Frank Tippet. I learned it's faster when I was following a slowpoke (in a vette no less) down 4. I took Dowerhouse & he went straight. Well I'm at the stop sign at Dower & Woodyard when guess who comes putt putting by? Yep, ole slowpoke. :lmao: So I always skip Dowerhouse now.
