O Rick is reopend as Grid Iron Grill but nothing seems to have lived long there.

Actually..Rick helped the owner, Greg, start up Grid Iron but now Rick is head honcho at the restaurant in Chiefs, Tall Timbers. That move happened some time ago, in fact.

Grid Iron is still going..and Chief's restaurant is doing well..as is the Reluctant Navigator at Tall Timbers Marina. Seems the Piney Point Rd corridor restuarants are treading water at least.

And speaking of Piney Point Rd... *newsflash*: the old Knott's Kitchen (then Pat's Seafood after that) is re-opening apparently..not sure what as yet though. Looks like remodeling is almost complete...

Where is Chief's??? Good grief man....are you from another planet??
:killingme

Chief's bar is right off 249 at the Tall Timbers Rd junction. The business has been there forever..and operating as Chief's Bar behind the WJ Dent (as its now called) general store for decades.

And yes..of course a killer cheese steak is on the menu, as are some other Rick Toth favorites and carry-overs from Oakwood days..

Chessie's in Lexington Park had the best cheese steaks. The original store up in Huntington is still open.

I was wondering if someone bought it or if they were just fixing it up some more since its been up for sale for so long. I hope it's something good! Not a fan of a&w, and grid iron is too pricey for frequent lunches.

Don't know if there was ever one here but as a kid my favorite fast food was Burger Chef, yea it was a chain.

I LOVED their cheesesteaks, till I discovered they had a roach problem during their operation.

Talk about a stroll down memory lane, huh?
