Take it from a PG co Cops wife.....Bowie is much safer than Waldorf GHETTO Mall or as some call it St Charles Town Center.

LOL sure maybe during the daylight. Bowie town center is Ghetto. The Movie theater there is beyond horrible in the evenings I would never take my kids there.

The Smart Hooker
Bowie has some "ghetto" parts as does most towns. Shop during daylight house if the mall in Waldorf is that bad. IMO I don't think the St. Charles Mall is any more ghetto then some parts of Lexington Park.

Waldorf is the GHETTO. Go to Bowie Towne Center. Very classy and SAFE.

 Why should one go to Bowie Town Center? If you want to go to a gloried, outdoor shopping plaza having f1ancy street lights and brick-lined sidewalks, shorten your drive and go to Largo Town Center. Both town centers are designed alike!

By the way, via recent events of Federated Stores buying some Hecht's locations, maybe if IGC get rid of that Hecht's home store (on the first floor of the mall) and Dick's Sporting Goods (on the second floor of the mall, above Hecht's home center), maybe either Macy's or Lord and Taylor would occupy both of those mall zones. :yay:

Why would they get rid of the Hecht's home store? It's relatively new, and is a decent place to shop. Macy's couldn't compete with Hecht's, and nobody wants to go to Lord and Taylor.

Nickel,

The mall already has a Hecht's as an anchor store.
Those folks can simply consolidate their "Home Store"
into it, to free up the retail space for another, more better
retail anchor store.

Was up there saturday, Gap has closed and Athelics Foot is closing.....This mall has really gone downhill, think I'll just make the trip to Annapolis or Tysons Corner from now on.

Sounds more like it's getting better.

The home store was in the other store a few years ago. When Wards closed down they took over the space to expand the main store to just clothing.
