Just heard St. Mary's College is on LOCKDOWN, armed man seen near the church. Not much info. Hopefully he has left and school can get back to normal.

I am a senior at the college and currently locked down in Kent Hall, which is near the church where the robbery occurred. The robbery was allegedly in the church parking lot, and the update right now is that they have stopped a man on Rt. 4 matching the robber description given. We've been locked in our classrooms now for over an hour.

Any idea what was stolen? Are yall able to get out on the second floor patio? Is north campus on lockdown as well?

Is it as bad as the "light fixture pipe bomb" from a few years back? :buttkick:

Well if he's on rt 4, he's far away from the college and they should let ya'll out of class. Did somebody get mugged in the parking lot?! :confused:

I don't know about the incident itself. We are supposed to stay not only locked in the building, but in the rooms. Some of us have to leave to go to the bathroom but we risk getting yelled at. Oh well. We're not children.

As far as the light fixture pipe bomb, we only have a total campus lockdown. North campus is locked down, but not evacuated like it was my freshman year for that. hah.
