But should the hypothetical incident be noted? I don't want to get anyone in trouble, but this is an elementary school bus. It just doesn't seem appropriate to me.

You go drive an elementary school bus for two weeks and then come back and tell us.

Again, regardless as to whether it was a problem child or a little angel, nobody has the right to curse or berate a child that's not their own.

If the bus driver is having difficulty with a child, then inform the school and keep that kid off the bus.

I do not think it's appropriate for anyone involved in the care of a child to not be held to higher standards. That goes for everyone involved, from the teacher to the lunch lady to the bus driver to the after school caretaker.

I dunno, I really can't fault her. Yes, she is in a position where she should be a little more cautious of her wording. However, I know this child and this lil mo' fo' :)lmao:) deserved it, I'm sure.

Maybe someone with a husband, hypothetically, could say hook up a video camera for the bus driver to help get rid of the hypothetical kid who might be drving the bus driver crazy and possibly hypothetically causing an accident one of these days.

Aaah, my next hypothetical. Under her breath she has made a few comments, but never at this level where every single kid on the bus has heard her. Or at least that's the story I was hypothetically told.
She has a high stress job dealing with a bus load of brats that most likely have no respect for adults and she mutters a cuss word every now and then as tension release. If she is a good driver I'd say let the bad words slide and give the woman a break. Your darling daughter has most likely heard worse daily from sources such as music, T.V., movies and video games... and her mother...:coffee:

I hadn't thought about that. :frown:

Aren't you glad we have wonderful husbands who pay for everything and the only thing we have to do is buy them a shirt when we go shopping and :gossip: a few times a month?

Hell yeah! :high5:

My daughter does daycare. She has 8 bra..uh..little darlings. On a day that school was out, she had the daycare kids and our two grandkids. She called me frantic because she had used the "F" word with the kids. She never does that...even when she doesn't have the kids. I cracked up...told her not to worry. She said they were driving her nuts. :lmao: The weather was bad and they weren't able to go outside.

Heck, she calls me at work and if it isn't nap time, I want to scream the "F" word.

.
And there is the answer to why we have so many problems with kids these days..

Growing up I was just afraid of getting a beat down from the nighborhood adults if they caught me doing something wrong as I did from my parents. Wrong is wrong.. and if it's only an ass-chewing and not a beating big flippin deal..

Teachers are now powerless to discipline problem kids, where as our principal had an OAR in his office for the true troublemakers. These days a teacher looks at a kid the wrong way their job is in jeopardy.. "MOMMY, Mr Bluebell looked at me and smiled!!" "Yes dear, I'll call the school tomorrow and put and end to that crap!!"

If the kid,ANYONE's kid, is being a nuisance on a bus to the point the driver can't pay 100% attention to the job at hand, then the driver should be empowered to do what needs to be done to ensure the safety of the other 59 kids on that bus.

I take it you have yet to hear about when her kid wanted to earn extra credit by bringing in a bottle of anti-bacterial hang gel and snatched the bottle of gel off her mom's nightstand not realizing it was something different ... :faint:

I thought most already were outfitted with the wiring and mounts for said camera, behind a "one-way" bubble near the front of the bus.
