given all the grammatical errors on the facebook page, I would bet it's a hoax. What reputable company would be asking for volunteers or investors by using a gmail address??? People are so gullible.

See, I missed the part about asking for volunteers or investors or I would of thought right of the bat "HOAX" Thank you for that word LOL I was totally drawing a blank last night and spam was the only word my brain would spit out. I hate always being so skeptical but this day and age you just have to be.

There is already a water park in the Chesapeake Beach/North Beach area of Calvert county.

Now if they said it was including a go cart track it would of been more belieavable...

It originally had a 769 number listed for info that came up to Hurry's. A search of that name brings up St. Mary's liquor license stuff. Maybe they are trying to build one. It would be nice.

Putting it in perspective as one comparable to North beach or Lusby makes a lot more sense that it could be real. In my head I thought big like Busch Gardens water country or Six flags.

Ok kiddies, because some of you are geography challenged.

The water park some of you have located in North Beach is in Chesapeake Beach. Two separate towns, two separate sets of things to do.

And that has what to do with building one in Mechanicsville/Charlotte Hall? There's one in Lusby as well.

I forgot about the one in Lusby. :yay:

From what I've seen on FB, I thought this attraction was being presented as a larger one than already nearby, and I guess I wonder where the infrastructure is to support the business they are looking to attract. (All 3 Somd counties, along with PG county, it said) That's a lot of traffic.

I sure hope they ban children under the age of 4 from getting into to various pools.

If you leave the southern Maryland area and tell people what town/county you're from, you might as well just say southern Maryland. Nobody really cares beyond that. Same goes for NoChes Beach. It's the same place to anyone who doesn't live there. :howdy:

As a mother with 3 children, this all sounds fabulous. This would be quite convenient and it's offered at a great price point. That's cheaper than the damn county fair that I despise. However, I am iffy on the thought of building up St. Mary's even more though. :ohwell:

First, it's an "estimated price" because they don't have anything firm.
Second, it's going to be north county, that means it's still going to be a drive for the majority of the people in St. Mary's.
Three, it will be closer to Waldorf than Ridge - you are going to have a lot of people from Charles and PG heading that way.

Yep. As a non-North Beach/Ches Beach resident who now has parents living there (in North Beach), to me, they are the same place. I understand the dividing line but in reality to the layperson, it's the same place.

Actually, the first time I went to help my parents move in, I followed their directions of "Go through Ches. Beach until you get to North Beach." Knowing that North Beach was the next town north past Ches Beach and not paying much mind on a lazy Sunday afternoon, I drove through Ches. Beach until I hit "open" road again and figured "North Beach is up next." Obviously I had to turn around and head south to find their place.

And I tell everyone I'm from "about 25 miles south of Washington, DC. This is because no one had ever heard of Waldorf ........... and if they did, I surely didn't want to acknowledged that I lived there.

Even at the far northern tip of the county, it would still be more convenient than anything else similar to it. :yay:
