As long as they are properly trained and can produce a good cup of coffee it does not matter. I would think that one would require some serious training before laying hands on a professional espresso machine. Those high powered machines are to be taken seriously!Tomcat said:Stopped there one Saturday morning fora cup of coffee to take to grandson's lacrosse game at SMR. Coffee wasn't bad, S.O. had a double cappicino and was bouncing off the walls all afternoon long. Looked like they had some good pastries and sandwiches. Didn't notice if htey were certified Baristas though

Agree 100%, especially home machines. However, a 220V 30amp workhorse requires someone that knows how to operate it.elaine said:Those things are easier to operate than what's sitting on your kitchen counter. It's not rocket science.

Anaystar said:I know for sure, but you know what, Jorge seems to have already spread so many lies that you people are never going to believe anything else. This is the only reason, in my opinion, he was there for so long in the first place. Everyone would think its because of his sexual preference when you should damn well know its not the case. and if you dont know that then your just sticking your nose where it doesn't belong. I posted a message with the facts because I don't want my friend (who liked Jorge as a person by the way even knowing he wasn't good for the company) to have to deal with a protest outside her workplace. Anyone who joined a protest either doesn't know the facts or chooses to ignore them. Those Barista's haven't exactly had it easy either with all this that has been going on (regulars, you know what I mean) and they DON'T need a whole bunch of idiots in front of their store.

I know it is expensive, but it is the only place I can get it like I personally like it- so it is a treat to me...NOT a place for me to publically exhibit or support some 'disenfranchised youth' act. You people need to chill out- no one is going to protest...for Christ's Sake pick up a different torch!![]()
Don't even get ME started!elaine said:M, don't hold back. Tell us how you really feel.![]()

Appears with your experience, you could be classified as a Barista.elaine said:I never had that title. I was managing a restaurant at the time.
