State Farm

art imitating life
I found that Erie was less expensive and much better coverage for Home Owners but for my car State Farm blew them out of the water. Even if I put them together on either company it was still cheaper to do it this way.

A little upset about being charged to change my policy. They friggin' charge your more money just so they can charge you more money. They sat there and explained all of the charges and what they cover but didn't mention a thing about this. So, it's needless to say I was a little stunned when I went online to pay my bill and saw it was nearly $450. :faint:

And the fact that they consider it a sports car is just ridiculous. Apparently, having a 2-door coupe with a rear wing automatically justifies it being a sports car.

But, if they call it a sports car, so will I.

When I bought my 1998 Dodge Neon Sport Car back in September 1997, State Farm charged me $1,000 for every 6 months because I was under 21 years old and not married. When I turned 21 years old a year after I bought my car, it dropped down to $300 every 6 months. I still have the car, and the insurance is about less than $100 every 6 months.

Brand New Vehicles tends to be very high, and it goes down as the time go.

Andy, just hang in there, it will get better. Just don't get in accidents or anything like that, and your insurance will keep going down for being a good driver.

Unless you have had a claim or two you wouldn't know nothing of State Farms business practices.

Because they allowed you to give them money for 15 or 20 years doesn't make them a great company.:dork:

I have made claims against my homeowners policy and auto policies and the folks at State Farm took care of us. In one case, my wife's car was hit by an uninsured driver in the parking lot at her work. Of course, State Farm paid to have it fixed but we had to pay our $250 deductable. Fast forward. Three years later, we got a check in the mail for $250 from State Farm with a letter explaining that they had recovered the costs from the uninsured driver who had hit my wife's car so they refunded us our deductable. Very cool.

Do you really think that people go 20 years without a claim? Whatever you're smoking, pass it over here!

They aren't the best, but they are better than most. Definitely not in the "suck" category.

I've been driving over 20 years and I've never put in a claim and I've never been in an accident.

My wife was hit by another car 17 years ago and she's never put in a claim.

My father and my mother have been driving for over 40 years and neither of them has ever been involved in an accident or had a claim.

I think you and Andy need to question your motor skills or the both of you need to lay off the pot.

You've never even had a glass claim? A tow? Nobody hit you? A branch never fell on your car?

40 years without a claim? I don't believe you.
